Two things.....

1 - Much like the Braves did for John Smoltz in 1991 with Jack Llewellyn, I think Kirbs needs to get a sports psychologist to get inside Beck's head to shake the snakes loose. That fellow needs an expresso dose of confidence. And, #2 below might just be part of the magic elixir for that.

2 - Bring back the tennis ball machine. Our receivers need to spend about 2 hours/day with it for the rest of the season.

With the way the defense appears capable of playing after Saturday night, if we can get the aforementioned issues fixed, there'd be nobody stopping this team.

Ref's from the Texas game

We know the name of the head ref, but who was the replay ref and the 2 or 3 officials in the home office? Their names need to be released and the schools that they are affiliated with or graduated from. This is where the a lot of the problem lies. Transcripts of the conversations between all these individuals on reviewed plays need to be released as well.

Backup QB

I am not one that thinks Beck can’t get himself back on track with his receivers but it’s an interesting thought that we don’t really even have the option to go to another QB the way Texas did, and Saban has famously done multiple times. For whatever reason, Gunner clearly hasn’t developed the way we had hoped. Puglisi’s injury has likely put him real far behind. And I know nothing about Rashada.

So it begs the question, now that we are in the bye week, are one of those 3 our QB next year or are we portal-ing? And if it’s the latter- what options are there?

Want to Shout Out Bobo

I'm a very difficult critic of his but when I see a good game called with some real gems I have to give him credit.

Now execution was poor by our wide receivers but that's in a bunch of other threads.

Bobo's 2 play call (first to Arian, then the flea-flicker) may be the 2 best back to back calls I've seen this year.

Keep it up dude!

Should we shorten the WR bench so to speak?

Seems like we keep running wrong routes, timing is off, drops galore

Any chance we are playing too many people and it is creating too many variables?

Seems like we would do better to create some sort of rhythm with the QB who clearly doesn't have a go to receiver or a safety valve by playing what we think are our best more often.

I get the trade off is nil and kids leaving but....this is about a national championship

Win that And you can steal the bet receiver from X Y Z to offset any sad suzies that leave

Damn

I got word this morning that Grandaddy passed last night. I’m almost 40 but down here he’s still Grandaddy no matter how old you are. He introduced me to Georgia football, buying me everything he could in red and black when I was a baby. I was the firstborn so I got to enjoy a lot of those season tickets with him and my uncle. He was responsible for a lot of who I am and hell, he even named me. (After a Pittsburgh Steeler.)

I knew the end was close when I had to go pick him up and set him in bed the other night. But I knew he would hang on and help kick that Texas ass. And one more day to celebrate. I can’t think of a better way to honor him and what he would have like to see then kicking Florida’s ass and then everyone else down the line.

Who wants to bet that Kirby's "they tried to rob us" line is going to lead to some retaliation by officials in the future?

Not that we don't get shafted by officials in big games anyway, but everyone always says referees are like the mafia. They protect their own. And you know they are not happy with what people are saying about the game, especially after what Kirby said on the field.

I am willing to bet my next paycheck a 50/50 call in the future ain't gonna go our way and it's because of that.
