Another Gunner thread

I'm still so impressed with what I saw from him Saturday. He hasn't played meaningful football in more than 3 years, so I'm not shocked at all that the offense was shrunk when he came in. I'm not reading anything into that when it comes to what I think the offense will be in 3 weeks. I can't say anything that nobody else hasn't said about his toughness and that the team seems to rally around him. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens and I am optimistic.

The biggest thing I'm impressed by is his last play. I thought he was unalived. He was asleep when his helmet flew off and I have no clue how he held on to the ball. Guess toughness is in his DNA...

Go Dawgs

Serious Question about CFB

How long can the current state of college football last? With kids transferring every year and not having to sit out, colleges with the most money buying the best players, NIL collectives fundraising said money, donors donating loads of cash, etc. In reality how long does this go on before changes are made? Do donors get mad and quit giving when their team still doesn't win because they are paying a 17 year old who has never played a down of college football 1M+? It seems like teams will go as the money goes for the most part. How long until a guy like Kirby says, "I'm done" all because the Job now requires him to be owner, GM, and head coach and every other title in the book. I know I am spoiled because I love UGA and we are the premier school in the country, but you have to look at this from a nation wide perspective and ask, how long does this last...

Georgia’s ninth-year head coach is joined by South Carolina’s Shane Beamer, Indiana’s Curt Cignetti, Boise State’s Spencer Danielson, Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham, Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman, Oregon’s Dan Lanning, SMU’s Rhett Lashlee and Army’s Jeff Monken as finalists.

NonDawg What do the Braves and AA do for 2025?

Fried’s gone, Morton probably retires, Chris Sale had a great year but is proving why you can’t rely on him, Strider is probably going to miss a few starts to start 2025 and is going to be a question mark coming off his second Tommy John in a short period of time, Acuna a question mark to be ready to start the year and 2nd ACL tear in 3 years. I really don’t think the Braves can sit for the third year in a row without making a big move to maximize this window.

Film Don't Lie

First off, if you aren't watching Dayne and Brent's "Film Don't Lie" series on UGASport.com's YT channel, you should be. Really well done imo. Anyway, watching tonight's episodes and I know Arian Smith has been very much maligned --- I agree, he needs to catch the ball better. That said, he made some other big plays (as other's on here have noted on this board) in the SECCG. On Frazier's fumble, man the way he chased the play, saw the fumble and fought for that ball, I mean the ball was under the Texas guy's arm and 11 just went and took it from him. Of course the fake punt was big which Dayne and Brent break down too. Gonna need him to make some big catches if UGA is going to go deep in this playoff.

Cardale Jones and Gunner Stockton..?

Both Gunner and Cardale won their team their respective conference championship game as a backup. Both will start in the CFP after not being the starter all regular season. Both of them happen in the first year of a new playoff system.

Has anyone heard Gunner say he “ain’t come play school?”

History repeats itself 😂

By the Numbers - Sarkisian struggles vs Georgia and something that hasn't happen since the 1998 Outback Bowl

Poor Texas offenses vs Georgia, running back touchdowns and actually a positive on Bobo's passing attack (sorta)
