Portal qb

Just heard this day Luke Kromenhoek from Florida State has entered the portal. Norville at FSU put the hard sell on him and once Luke committed he doesn’t go back on his word. He got thrown to the wolves this year. Great kid great athlete hard hard hard worker. Ga called him when Raiola ditched us but he’s not that kid to Renege that late
The kids tough. Like Aaron Murray tough. I don’t know if that’s anybody we need to be aware of or not. Great family. I will not ask them or say anything but they are surrounded by Georgia People.
kid is a fireball and very talented
Georgia People would love him

ND: Question about Notre Dame and conferences...

Listening to ADs and Coaches alike talking about how their teams were punished by not getting into the CFP because of playing in tough conferences and tough non conference games, what incentive is there to schedule ND?

I have a ND buddy (delusional but a good guy) says that ND doesn't need a conference because they are such a big financial draw for other teams.

I thing that a) them getting an automatic bid if ranked b) the CFP not looking at SOS could spell doom for ND.

What say you?

We lost so much from our secondary last year..

We lost so much talent from our secondary last year, I think it’s been a great coaching job to still have a pretty damn good secondary after losing that much talent.

Everette has had his ups and downs but is a solid CB, expect him to continue to get better with more confidence.

Daniel Harris flashes at what he can be sometimes but still has boneheaded plays, think he will also get better with increased snap count with Humphries transferring.

Starks been a bit disappointed at his production this season but damn he lost a lot of help!

KJ has flashed but we will need more from him this playoff run! He def isn’t afraid to come down and lay the wood

Dan Jackson… hit stick! Will go down as one of the most legendary Dawgs all time. The block on the Kelee Ringo pick 6 and smacking Haynes King to force that fumble… legendary.

UNC DT Travis Shaw ...

Would only have 1 year of eligibility, but he could do himself a BIG favor by coming to UGA for a year of development before going to the draft. Having a guy with a lot of experience but who didn't have the supporting cast, would be a solid pickup for the Dawgs DL next year. Bringing him on would not impact recruiting as he would be gone before the new recruits arrived. He would simply be a hired gun for a season, for cash. If he is a culture fit and is willing to WORK to improve his future, I'd be all for getting him on board.

Parlay Pick ‘em Challenge Conf. Championships Winner

Congrats to @UGADawgGuy for being our Conference Championships winner…

Of 97 entries, UGADawgGuy was one of a season-high 14 to go a perfect 3-0. (If you ever go 3-0, please let me know by Monday night if you want to be considered for the weekly winner.) For the tie-breaker question (How many total yards will Georgia gain/net against Texas?), our winner was 63 yards off, guessing 340 (actual total of 277).

Around Christmas, I'll post a bowl parlay challenge for the bowls being played on December 31-January 1. We appreciate everyone for playing.

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but can portal transfers play in the playoffs if they enroll in school during the Christmas break?

And please, for those of you that are prone to do this, save the lectures about how a player couldn't learn a new system that quickly.

I understand the difficulties of doing this realistically and I'm not suggesting trying this. I'm just curious if the NCAA rules allow it.

Obviously we know a player can enroll and participate in spring practice, but can they also play in games that occur in January after classes start?

So she wanted to be a clown, she said …

She got off to a great start.

Good Morning Dawg Nation

Yesterday wasn't too bad.....nothing unexpected, in my opinion. I'm sure there are a few coming but we will see.....

I believe practice starts back tomorrow and I'm looking forward to hearing how things are going with the changes we are being forced to make. Based on some videos and interviews it feels like this team will rally behind Gunner as the QB and I'm sure whoever else steps up. I know one thing for sure.....Stockton is one of the toughest young men on the field. I thought he was knocked out in that game, or tore his knee up. He even held on to the ball....that game was OVER if he fumbles! GO OFF Gunner!!

Praying for all those on LDGMDNOPL
and all the GMDN gang too!

Happy Birthday/Anniversary if you're celebrating today 🎉🎉

Love you guys and gals, MEAN IT.....

Go Dawgs ❤️

SEC Scheduling after 2025

Will be interesting to see how the front office sets up schedules going forward (after next year). When the expansion was announced I was confident that we would eventually move to a 9 game schedule... more opportunities to play the other teams and more money. I wasn't surprised to see them keep it at 8 initially as sort of a transition period.
After this year I am not so sure a 9 game schedule happens, given the number of losses was clearly valued over SOS by the committee. But, we probably end up with some sort of automatic SEC tie-in to mitigate our SOS differences in a 9 game world.

I'll preface all this by saying I am a fan of playing all teams in the league more often, so I lean towards a 9 game schedule. I want to keep traditional rivalries as annual meetings and have schedule variability year to year. All of these can exist together, and it's pretty simple.

Continuing at 8 presents a couple dilemmas. Given we are locked in with Florida, if in 26-27 we simply play the teams we didn't play in 24-25, then we lose Auburn and TN for 2 years (and Texas would lose A&M for example since they are locked with OK). It also creates only 2 different schedules that teams could play which is boring.

I think a 3-3-3 setup works out best and here it goes:

Year 1:
- Three annual rivalry opponents (locked each year)
- One group of 3 teams played away
- One group of 3 teams played at home

Year 2:
- Three locked rivals (home/away flips)
- The 3 you played away last year, you meet at home.
- The 3 you played at home last year roll off your schedule
- A new 3 team group rolls onto your schedule for your away games

Year 3:
- Three locked rivals
- The new group of 3 from the prior year, you play at home
- A new group of 3 comes in for your away games

By Year 4 the three that rolled off after Year 1 are back on your schedule to complete the round robin.

Keep alternating this in perpetuity.

Benefits:
- You retain your traditional rivalries year to year
- Guarantee home/away matchups in back to back years (which is fun). Only year that doesn't work is in the 2nd year but that is just to get the ball rolling on this scheduling.
- Adds variability to your schedule year in and year out. There are four possible schedules to play versus only 2 if we just alternate one set of opponents every 2 years.
- Play all teams home and away in every 4 year period

NonDawg Christmas plans and the playoffs

We always drive to my in laws for a few days around New Years to celebrate Christmas with my wife’s family. My FIL is a DGD with a full basement that has a full bar, poker tables, huge projection tv. So we always watch football together.

The women, who I love all, sometimes forget the football game aspect of this trip so I made them all a calendar of all the games on the 31st and 1st and drew arrows to around lunch time on the 31st saying “this is when you want to schedule the gift swapping.”

The Colonel sees this message and sends me a text saying “well done son” 😂 high honor for a son in law!
