Film Don't Lie

First off, if you aren't watching Dayne and Brent's "Film Don't Lie" series on UGASport.com's YT channel, you should be. Really well done imo. Anyway, watching tonight's episodes and I know Arian Smith has been very much maligned --- I agree, he needs to catch the ball better. That said, he made some other big plays (as other's on here have noted on this board) in the SECCG. On Frazier's fumble, man the way he chased the play, saw the fumble and fought for that ball, I mean the ball was under the Texas guy's arm and 11 just went and took it from him. Of course the fake punt was big which Dayne and Brent break down too. Gonna need him to make some big catches if UGA is going to go deep in this playoff.

Cardale Jones and Gunner Stockton..?

Both Gunner and Cardale won their team their respective conference championship game as a backup. Both will start in the CFP after not being the starter all regular season. Both of them happen in the first year of a new playoff system.

Has anyone heard Gunner say he “ain’t come play school?”

History repeats itself 😂

By the Numbers - Sarkisian struggles vs Georgia and something that hasn't happen since the 1998 Outback Bowl

Poor Texas offenses vs Georgia, running back touchdowns and actually a positive on Bobo's passing attack (sorta)

Cannot wait to hear how Kirby spins

the “I don’t know jack” info re Carson’s Sunday’s MRI. Barring falling back on some vague HIPPA violation my prediction is it’ll go something along the lines of, “Well, there was nothing to report cause the MRI showed no significant tear or anything. Ya’ll, especially all those wankers on that DawgVent, just worry too dang much. I gotta go talk to Gunner.” Meanwhile, every other playoff team is right now trying to locate as much HS tape on Gunner as humanly possible. ‘Ya gotta love The Kang!!!

If you don’t think Texas loves them some Texas (from their board)…

B/S even with the loses to GA, other teams can’t deny Texas belongs in the SEC

(Buy) Texas is the crown jewel of the conference.
They have a segment with their version of Radi (dude can’t carry Radis jock strap) called buy/sell - that’s what the B/S is before the initial post. They are convinced they are the “crown jewel” of the greatest conference in college football after their first year. The most conceited bunch of losers in football. I despise them and will pull for every other team in the conference over them (yes, @DonutDawg , even Auburn) in every sport and academic endeavor. I still can’t believe we rescued that program by letting them come into our conference instead of letting them wilt on the vine of mediocrity in the Little 12.

This win over Texas, yall…

to be honest has me feeling so many things.

What a wild season, right?!? I mean the ups and downs, the downright heartache, the soaring victories (I’m looking at you Awbern, Florida, UTjr, UTsr X2, and Thek… you scum…)

I’ve never had less fun and more fun at the same time in one season. This team has been truly amazing to watch. But that victory over Texas. That mother f***ing SEC CHAMPIONSHIP has me FEELING things, yall.

I’m grateful for Kirby daggum Smart. An alpha leader and apex competitor, but also a dude that loves that locker room and the young men he’s building inside of it.

I’m grateful for Dan Jackson. Chaz Chambliss. Cash Jones. And many more that represent the G to their utter core.

I’m grateful for seniors that lead and carry the standard.

I’m grateful for Carson Beck, you psychopath. You’ve driven me 97.4% absolute crazy and somehow I’m heartbroken that you’ve likely played your last snap here. But daggum if it wasn’t one of the best handoffs of your career, and dangit if you and 1 didn’t walk that thing off for the boys!

Carson. You are simply a DGD. In every sense. A likely last of your kind. I’m buying a jersey and you can’t stop me.

I know we want natties, and I REALLY want a natty this year, but man that victory was sweet. I think it set a lot of things in perspective for me and showed me the very fiber of what this team is all about - grit and guts. No matter what happens the rest of the way, those boys brought glory to the G, and they have me feeling some type of way.

I know I left a lot of things out, so drop some awe-inspiring people or moments from this team/season so we can appropriately appreciate them.

Love yall. Love my Dawgs. Glory Glory!

“Man, Mike Bobo is not a great play caller”

“Georgia’s best play looks to be the penalty.
Prepare yourselves.”

SEC officials still on Texas payroll:
“Why was false start not called there, the left guard was in the motion of lookkng back at Ewers when the ball was snapped”

Beck is a Slooowwe Starter:
“Beck looks strange and is awful. Can't imagine how good they would be with a QB.”

Aggie watches Georgia games on the regular:
“He always sucks for 2 1/2 quarters then figures something out for a few possessions. Then he sucks again.”

“1 second left and Beck injuries his throwing arm...of course”

“Beck has thrown some good balls that were dropped. It’s not all on him.”

One thing I noticed about the committee and the seedings

They said that they would not seed to avoid early rematches, BUT, they pretty much did.

Yeah, OSU can have a second round rematch vs. Oregon, but we are opposite Clemson, Texas and Tennessee. And to emphasize, Clemson beat SMU in the ACCCG, but is seeded below them. Had Clemson been seeded 11 and SMU 12, Clemson would have been on the same side of the bracket as UGA.

Also, if ASU had been made the 3 seed and Boise 4, Boise and Oregon would have been on the same side of the bracket.

To avoid OSU/Oregon being on the same side of the bracket, OSU could have been bumped ahead of Notre Dame, but then OSU would have drawn a rematch vs. Indiana in round 1. It would not have helped to drop OSU to 9 (still on the same side as Oregon), so they would have had to drop them to 10 to place them opposite of Oregon. But if the committees did that, they would be on the same side of the bracket as Penn State.

Anyway, not sure of all this was intentional or not, but it does give food for thought.
