UPDATE Live from Mercedes-Benz Stadium...Update 3:47

Little tricky getting parked today but made it OK.

242: Dillon Bell out early. Moving well.
2:48: Neither Trevor Etienne nor Chauncey Bowens are listed on the availability report.
3:03: Will Muschamp is on the field for warmups.
3:14: Peyton Woodring has been drilling field goals in warmups....just kicked one 57 yards with room to spare.
3:17: For those wondering about Will, it's apparent he's just here in an advisory capacity as he's not helping any of the defensive assistants during early warmups.
3:22: Trevor Etienne is indeed dressed out. Working out in early kickoff return drills.
3:34: Already been reported by but confirming that Julian Humphrey is not here.
3:34: Christen Miller is dressed out but he's working with the last group

IMO the first step to fix CFP idiocy is…

to remove as much of the committee’s subjectivity as possible. Establish a point ranking system made up of W/L, home/away game location, FBS opponents only, or whatever. Then apply a physical “conference value component or weighting.” Meaning rank the conferences each season based upon that season’s 1st ten games. Hopefully this would force the committee into realizing not all w/l’s are created equal. It would eliminate a 17th ranked team, which obviously doesn’t belong in the top 12, just because they play in a bad conference. Throwing out D-2 games would eliminate consideration meaning one less game counts toward a total ranking value. This would pull down, say, an Indiana for a pathetically weak schedule.
