1) It's been a while since almost every post, comment and venter is positive. Even after TX, people were upset at Carson's INTs. Sure is nice to not have to wade through all the bickering and arguing over who was to blame or who didn't perform well. Great team win!
2) On the first play, I think the DB was holding Arian's left arm which is why he couldn't make the catch. The ref couldn't see that because he was shielded by the DBs body, but I'm not sure that was a legit drop.
3) If I was a TN fan, I might have been upset about the facemask call. But in real time, it certainly appeared that the defender grabbed the facemask, and when the helmet came off, it supported that notion. And I thought it was interested that the Lemonier first said, "it looked like the helmet just came off" and then after looking at a review, said there was enough there and it was a good call. It was probably a good call. At worst it was a missed call that could be completely explained by the circumstances (just like the like the DB holding Arian's arm where the ref couldn't see it!) It wasn't an obvious bad call. Furthermore, even without the penalty, we still had a makeable third down and the way Beck was slinging it, we very well might have kept the drive going anyway.
4) I also get why they would be upset about the 12 men on the field, since the booth buzzed down and reviewed that. Not sure I've ever seen that happen. And it was really close. However, it was clearly the right call, so how can you be upset when the call was clearly correct?
5) Isn't it funny how some coaches have teams that they struggle to beat year in and year out. Donnan had Tech. Richt had FL. We know who Kirby's is. Wouldn't it be crazy if Heupel winds up eventually getting fired for not beating UGA when he currently has more wins against Bama than Kirby?
