Had a better year than we gave him credit for considering what he had to work with all year.

They have heart, and we will be a force to reckon with next year.

While watching the game this weekend, it occurred to me how few originally HS recruited WRs we have making plays for us. So wanted to go back and look at our last handful of classes to see how it panned out.

Arian Smith

Justin Robinson

Pretty great class. Ladd was obviously great, MRJ was solid and contributed his entire time here. Arian took some time but has made a big contribution this year and of course had the huge catch against Ohio St.

Burton appears to be a dummy but made some big plays and contributed to a national title winning team.

Robinson was the only real miss in this class.

2021
Jackson Meeks
AD Mitchell

AD was a big contributor in his two years here and made some of the most memorable catches in recent UGA history.

Meeks never did anything here but is having a pretty big season at Syracuse.

A small class with a 50% hit rate.

CJ Smith
Cole Speer
Dillon Bell
De'Nylon Morrissette

Outside of Bell, this is a disaster of a class.

2023
Anthony Evans
Tyler Williams
Yazeed Haynes

Evans looks like he might contribute but another bad class of WRs overall.

So the big takeaway for me is that in the '20 and '21 class, we had 5 out of 7 signees become significant contributors.

'22 and '23 we have maybe two out of 7 that will be contributors.

Last years class has some promise with Tuggle and Sacovie and we look to have some good verbals for this year (Roldan, Taylor and Williams as a hybrid).

This has forced us to try and plug the gaps with portal guys which has been a very mixed bag for us so far.

Was the charging point in the game. Total horseshit refs called that. Just cause the ref stumbled never seen anything except sideline warning not 15 yard penalty on someone not in the game. Done with football this year. ND sucks

capable of making a playoff run for a few reasons and feel like the SEC championship was the ceiling. This team had issue and Kirby is smart enough to recognize the areas that need to improve and has the budget to make it happen. Let's see how he makes his moves because we need some help.

Go get him from Arizona State! He would love to return home and teach our guys how to catch the football! Would be great hire!

What a ride compared to the last 3. Brutal schedule, brutal injury and luck with guys being unavailable, managed to win the SEC and then go down round 1.

It’s mercifully concluded. Watching that 1 I think we win with Carson. Not sure we had enough outside for 2 more. The OL play today was perplexing, Freeling took a big step back. Gunner gave it hell and he had some great moments. Not sure he will be the guy moving forward. If he is the reinforcements at receiver will be coming.

If this was 4 years ago we’d all be beaming with pride. Right now it feels like shit we only get to be SEC champs this year. I think we will see some heavy changes personnel and coaching wise going into next year. We will have plenty of goons for 2025. Matter of can we get some player leadership from them. This group felt a bit disconnected compared to the last 3 teams. Hats off to ND.

Made it to the playoffs.

Beat most of our rivals, especially the ones who wear Orange.

Should should some alterations be made to to our coaching staff, probably.

Looking at the #1 or #2 recruiting class coming in this year.

Probably 60 other D1 teams would love to be were we were tonight.

And an awesome home schedule next year.
