Give a tip, share a tip Austin edition

Go dawgs - we have a crew of
9 former WWE wrestlers who are heading out on Wednesday

I’ve been fortunate to get over there a couple times within the past 3 years. GREAT city.

Must do’s.

Terry Blacks.
Granny’s Tacos (breakfast tacos/migas) (food truck)
Cuantos Tacos
Interstellar BBQ
Leroy and Lewis bbq (if you are a hipster, the smoked beef cheek is absurd)
Rainey street bars
Lucky duck

Avoid.

Franklin bbq (long wait, similar bbq elsewhere and too many other good ones)
6th street. If you are over 30 it is miserable. Under 30 will enjoy.
Don’t go see the bats under the bridge

That’s all I got.

RB Depth

SIAP….but our RB depth took a big hit yesterday. We are down to ETN, Cash & Frazier, after that it’s scary thin.

I don’t think you will see us try any type of run game between the tackles moving forward. We are one injury from starting a walk on 6’ 185lbs.

Dillon Bell may get few extra touches from the backfield.

I’ll hang up and listen.

So which Sports Psychologist are we bringing in this week ….

… to talk to Beck, before he steps out on the field in Austin in front of the entire U.S.? Jack Llewellyn?

Unfortunately, this game is going to rest squarely on his shoulders … because we sure as hell aren’t going to be able to run the ball with this OL vs the Texas D (reference the UT/Mich Game … complete domination along the LOS). The kid absolutely has the talent to carry us but he has to get in (and STAY) in the right frame of mind for 4 Qtrs, in a really tough environment. Of course he’s going to need lots of help from the WRs, TEs, RBs, etc … but he also has to get rid of the occasional mental lapses (INTs in the red zone) for us to have a chance. This is put up or shut up week … Flex or get exposed -

Secondary Lit up by a dead President

My football experience may only consist of Pee-Wee through High School, but damn our secondary turns every QB into a Heisman front-runner after they play us. I haven't looked up the stats but opponents completion % against us has got to be way up there, and the completed bombs allowed, just damn.

Outside of Umass I think the rest of the schedule is a coin flip.

This is how NBC gets to “good news for Harris abortion is top issue”….

Their headline this morning is that trump and Harris are now tied in the popular vote poll. With Trunp picking up 6 pts from their last poll.

Obviously disappointed with this no way to get around it death knell kind of news given the fact Biden was up 10 at this point in 2020….here are the gymnastics they used to objectively state “great news for Harris, now abortion is the number one issue for voters”. Ready? Here’s the poll question.

“Is there one issue you feel so strongly about that you will vote for or against a candidate solely on that issue?”

Abortion was number one. Forget the fact that the way this question was asked, it avoids the relevant question of what issues are most important to the electorate. Makes you have to pick one single issue rather than ranking several. And generally feeds into a left leaning voter probably unanimously picking this one by default. If for example economy and immigration were your top issues but equally important, you couldn’t pick either. If you are a democrat concerned about the economy, this question forces you to pick abortion.

Why not just ask what issue is most important, like literally every other poll where the economy is number one and immigration two?

Could it possibly be that NbC crafted the question to get a desired outcome?

So freaking dishonest.
