Football has felt weird today, and extremely secondary... because in moments like this, it is. However, watching the videos out of New Orleans, one thing that stood out was how the first responders bravely rushed the scene just like they always do. They don't hesitate. If you are a first responder -- police, fire, ems -- You are the best of our society. All of you. Yall do things anonymously day in and day out that protect and save the rest of us. Thank you

If you know a police officer, a paramedic, or a firefighter, maybe take a moment to simply send them a note of gratitude in the weeks ahead to say how much we appreciate what they do. Maybe if you see one in line grabbing some coffee or a quick meal, consider paying for it if you are able.

Texas was special. It is hard to beat a talented team twice in the same year. The fact that nobody in the talking world has mentioned that is crazy to me. Here to hoping Gunner has a stellar day tomorrow and we out physical ND from the start tomorrow afternoon.

Adversity and changes of plans favors the most mentally-prepared team. That's UGA.

I'm not at all worried about playing tomorrow and losing a day of prep for Penn State. That's a Kirby special. He will make it us against all the odds. Embrace the adversity and use it to our advantage.

I ended up getting the imprimatur to stay (didn’t need it, but…) and I am glad I did. I made a ton of new friends and I am gonna watch us WHOOP THEIR IRISH ASS TOMORROW. NOLA remains an odd vibe, but a ton of Dawgs are here in the city and we all are ready to bring it home.

I have lost a grandson and son in law over the last 45 days. The pain of the surviving families is impossible to fathom for most. Human life is precious. A miracle.

I hate that you had to live through that moment of terror, but what a blessing it is to be able to share the story of the young man from Mobile, AL. What a terrifying moment it must have been to hear those shots ring out, not even knowing of the carnage that POS left behind.

Not only to have lived through that nightmare but to meet one of the young man’s family member through happenstance. I just can’t help but think it’s all apart of God’s will and just a testimony to His grace. My sister is currently working on her masters and could have easily been caught up in the chaos and violence and I’m so very thankful to God that it wasn’t the case. Thank you @LanceMcCurley for sharing your story with Miles Garrett for all to hear and God bless all the victims and families involved. Go Dawgs and Happy New Year to everyone!

Oregon sat around for a month while Ohio State got to fully rest and then play 11 days ago. That is an advantage. PSU jumped Boise and PSU jumped ASU to start their games.

Every offensive play for Ohio State seems to work for two weeks now.... Every play that Tennessee and Oregon attempts, Ohio State's defense seems to be set in the perfect position every time.

Its crazy how they are not only playing well but seemingly every play, on both sides of the ball, they are in perfect position for whatever the opponent calls.

Those guys are smoking hot right now. The only potential downside is things are to easy right now. At some point they are going to face some adversity... or maybe not, Maybe they just ride this hot streak to a championship.

Having Donald Duck on the sleeve of your jersey looks pretty weak when you're losing 41-15.
