Let's see.......

1. You can pay a high school kid that has never played a down of CFB ANY amount of money to come play football.
2. That same kid can take that money, and he can stay at that school or can transfer to any other school for ANY reason, for more money.
3. That kid can do that for as many times as he wants in his CFB career.
4. There is no condition for the player to get the money other than just putting pen to paper. Does not matter if he EVER performs to a level that he is being paid.
5. After the season is over, a group of people no one has heard of gets behind closed doors and tells us who they deem worthy to play for a championship. There are no set criteria, they just tell you who it is, and that is that.

As a huge CFB fan for 50 years, the sport I have loved is leaving this 62-year-old wondering what the hell happened........I will always follow the Dawgs, but the days of living and dying on the outcome of CFB games are quickly coming to a close.

Yeah, I know, old man yelling at clouds, but I am sure there are many others that feel similar.

Tomorrow

Time to put the women and children to bed and go hunting for ****ing dinner boys. Playoffs are here a week early(yes I know we are in either way).

What teams shows up tomorrow? I don’t hate this game for Bobo at all. They haven’t changed much on defense and he’s got a whole lot on film to wrinkle off of and I’ll bet he does early and often. Catch the freaking ball! Carson has been very good lately and playing with more moxie. If he hits a few early Saturday, watch out. If not he will find it eventually but damn, let’s try 1 without the slow start for once. OL is healthier, a healthy ish Rod and Frazier= ETN production at this point. They haven’t changed much, just going to try and be better at it than the first time. We can be MUCH better than the first time tooZ

Defensively unless they make a wholesale change to Arch or Schu jumps the shark scared of QB run and filters it to Ewers stuff too, we match up very well with them. They can’t push it vertically with much consistency, they run the ball ok but we defend non running QBs quite well. Losing Miller sucks, not sugar coating that 1. But if Ewers is in the game send hell and they either run into a run for a L or heat him up. If he hits deep shots and forces us out of it, so be it.

Sark is going to try and overload sides of the formations to leave the back on 1 of the LB’s(inside or out), early and often. Chris Cole needs a role in this 1 chasing guys in space. The rest of them send at the QB and force them to block numbers, they struggle against good pass rushes and vs the blitz are awful.

We keep them from catching a groove in the run game(very double), and they have a tough sled. May not be as wire to wire dominant as last time but we are still simply better and more talented. Motivation is to our advantage in my opinion as is location. It’s been a wild year and it’s hard to beat the same team twice. But we are a bad matchup for them unless they sit Ewers the whole time.

Radi regarding NIL

@Radi Nabulsi your would you pay post got me thinking…

When you said we are above 10 million but below 20 million is that per year to field an 85 man roster or per signing class of 25-30 kids.

Is that pure collective money or does it include the deals the collective hooks the players up with partnered businesses like the Krystal adds we see with Oscar Delp and others.
Thanks

NonDawg Congratulations to our United States Military Academy on winning

the AAC Championship! The young men and women at West Point will be our future leaders and we owe them our respect. Being merely a member of the Corp of Cadets is difficult enough intellectually, mentally, and physically. Being an athlete even more so. Proud of what they've accomplished this season.

PSA: Just as a reminder who the SEC is dealing with...

Tejas has looonnggg history of paying players, legal or not, throughout its history. Tejas led the old Southwest Conference in janky stuff which is saying a lot with Switzer at Okie. At one point, of the 8 schools in that conference 7 (SEVEN) were on probation at the same time. Think about that factoid. This is the world Tejas comes from. All the SEC has done is welcome with open arms the coyote into the hen house. There isn't a school that can compete or come close to matching Tejas oil / natural gas wealth. TAMU is prolly 2nd with SMU as well. (Speaking of which, if anyone doubts SMU could really be back sooner v later just go visit The Petroleum Club in Dallas some evening. They know how to bring the dollars too if they get serious. Dabo / ACC is most definitely f**ked.)

UGA is just today's victim but we will not be the last. Lastly, the kid from Manchester is a DT v a QB, RB, WR, TE, who could blow a game wide open on one play. Teams will have things to deal with him. We'll see how this all works out. GO Dawgs !!!
