Why roll the dice on unknown quantities, use that cash on proven players? I'm not saying you don't recruit freshman, but be a little pickier regarding transfers and pay up for the really good ones. There are some really good looking prospects, especially at receiver, already in the portal. I'd rather spend the big bucks on a proven clutch receiver than a freshman DL that needs to be developed.

and yeah there are a bunch of really good teams. But, I can honestly say I didn't see any team I would feel like is double digits better than us if, and its a huge IF, we take care of the damn ball. Having empty possessions vs good teams will kill us and giving up fast break buckets off tos will as well. Our D and rebounding should be competitive with the best in our league. It is of utmost importance not to give good teams a significant number. of more shot attempts per game. Along with that, because we will be in so many close games, free throws are going to be huge.
