With the Redshirt rule now allowing ...

players to play in 4 games, plus conference championship, plus bowl games and playoffs and still get a redshirt, we are going to have an extremely young team next year with a lot of players getting redshirt status, even though they could get snaps in 6-9 games this year.

Does Rivals have a participation report? I can see the stat sheet, and that shows number of games played as long as the player recorded a statistic. But what about just getting a game snaps? Is a participation report available just to see how many actually got into 4 games or less?

I don’t get lack of transparency with the NIL monies given to these kids playing for a tax payer funded education institution. Heck NFL you know…..

Players make and salary details. Yet this is so secretive it’s made college football transfer and recruiting rediculous. Why mot
Implement some type of cap and you wonder why some schools are at such a disadvantage as they don’t have boosters and mean to pony up to pay a college kid.

Another reason why the ABC TV deal is better than the CBS deal

Although we knew that we would be playing Tech on Friday in primetime on ABC, the rest of the TV time designations come out today.

The SEC is putting all 5 (6 if we include A&M) of its CFP contenders on ABC for the last week of the season.

Ole Miss - Friday 3:30
Georgia - Friday 7:30
Tennessee - Saturday 12:00
Alabama - Saturday 3:30
Texas / Texas A&M - Saturday 7:30

I know the playoff committee has access to all the games, but being on ABC means more viewers than ESPN. It can’t hurt with public perception. Meanwhile, Penn State and Indiana are on FS1 and BTN tiers.

Last year, only Arkansas-Mizzou (CBS had a boner for that shitty game) and the Iron Bowl would have been available for broadcast TV.

Why I'm not afraid of Texas

A picture is worth a thousand words and this picture is telling a tale of two college age boys with severe PTSD. They look like they're walking back past fresh reinforcements after the Battle of Okinawa. I'm telling you these boys are scared. They haven't and they wont forget what happened that night in Austin, Texas. They've been having nightmares since.
