Championship Games

I am really hoping the committee holds true to their word that championship games won't hurt teams. I think achievement should matter and it is an achievement to reach your conference's championship game.

Here are my personal caveats that I'd like to see:
If you are on the inside of the bubble pre-championship game, you should not be bounced out for losing. If you are on the outside and needing to win your conference championship to make it into the playoff, you should be able to be left out by losing. For example, if Texas A&M had won Saturday, they'd be 9-3 realistically needing to win to make the playoff. Don't think a 4 loss team, even when #4 is in the conference championship game, should be in the playoff.

One thing that I think has gone unnoticed about Kirby Smart's overtime Timeouts....

The obvious benefit of calling the timeout was to get a glance at Ga Tech's alignment, but I was telling my wife that it was also giving our defense precious more minutes to rest as well before mustering up all their strength for one play to stop Tech.

Its crazy, but think about this... Tech had the ball for 37+ minutes in regulation... The equivalent of another 8 minutes in overtime bringing the total to 45 minutes... and they had to walk the length of the field SEVEN times in OT as they switched ends of the field after each OT.

The defense was at the end of a nearly 4 hour game, and during that 4 hours they had been on the field for the nearly the equivalent of a FULL 60 minute game.

So yeah, I'm sure Kirby Smart wanted to get a look at their alignment... But even if they changed the play during the timeout I'm sure he was content giving his defense another minute or two to rest before the single 2 pt play... and the way they exploded with a couple of those blitzes it appeared to help.

NonDawg Athens job lead for pediatric occupational therapist

*putting on my recruiting hat*

My wife is the clinic director for a pediatric therapy clinic in Athens.
They’re actively looking to hire an occupational therapist.
They are taking leads for speech and physical therapists too.

If someone in your network wants to work in Athens for a boss that I think is pretty great, have them message me and I’ll connect them.
