When looking at attrition due to the NFL draft (not accounting those who may have transferred from a school) and schools that went hard in the portal and those who didn't, it seems to be substantial results.
-Michigan loses 13 players to the draft, defending national champions, barely hit the portal and sits at 5-5 and fighting to make a bowl game and still has OSU on their schedule.
-Florida State coming off a 13-1 season (thanks to the Dawgs and Herbstreit) lose 10 players in the draft, which were mostly 1st and 2nd rounders are now 1-9 and firing coaches left and right.
-Washington finished the year as runner up and lost their coach and NFL QB. We know their season was an anomaly but still had 28 portal additions. Sitting 5-5 in a weak BIG10
-Texas made the playoffs last year and lose 11 players to the draft. Other than UGA, I feel like Texas hasn't been tested due to their weak schedule but gets some big pickups in the portal and is 8-1 and on Top of the SEC for now.
-Alabama is Alabama. Milroe makes this team go. When he's good, they are best in country. When he's down, they are above average still but not the same. Loses 10 players to draft and CD to OSU but still adds a Top 3 transfer class and is sitting in good position to make playoffs.
-Oregon and Ole Miss - top two teams in transfer portal. Oregon lost some players to the draft but outside of OSU at home with a 1-pt win, has not been challenged very much. BYU early in the year is their 2nd best win. Ole Miss is dangerous but with 25 transfer players and the OL/DL getting bolstered, they have a shot to make a deep run.

and we have Georgia.. who lost 8 players to the draft and went and got some pieces in the portal. The loss of KL, JB, TS in the secondary has shown over and over again to be massive losses. I mean look at what those 3 are doing in the NFL right now. When you add Brock and Ladd to the mix, its easy to see why Beck has struggled gaining trust with this years guys. When you also remember that our size, Rara and Colbie is also gone, the WR room is A LOT different from last year. ETN has been the bright spot in the transfer guys. McLeod, Humphries, Pope (ST), Yurosek are the only ones who see much playing time. We also lost TWENTY FOUR players to the portal. I say all those stats to say, look at FSU, Michigan, Washington and the loss they encountered after last years top 5 team. Look at where they are this year. Kirby and the UGA staff have made the dawgs relevant year in and year out regardless of who comes and goes and based on these stats, that's impressive. It could always be better, yes, But it could also always be worse.

I had no idea we were one yard-per-game away from last in the SEC in rushing

How did this happen?

Yes we lost 2 RBs to injury but we brought in the best available portal RB and signed the top RB out of HS. This OL was supposed to be the one that finally won the Moore award after snubs the past 3 years. Our TE/WR blocking and catching performance has been abysmal. We have to lean on a fortitude-challenged QB who has nobody to throw to. Wholescale fail on the offensive side of the ball.

So all the celebrity endorsements of Kamala Harris were paid for. It was all fake and fabricated.

Kamala was kind of a reality TV show candidate.

If it wasn’t staged for her, she was uncomfortable.

To see her perform on a national and international level when she would be required to be a natural leader would have been a nightmare.

Our country and world dodged a bullet. We are fortunate.

We are in a reset. We needed it. We need it.

We are fortunate.
