ND - a favor

I usually don’t do this, but would like to put this out there if anyone here has any connections at any smaller schools… holler at me. This kid is family friend (his mom was my babysitter when I was a kid lol), but he’s a DL from Stephens Co. Just got into recruiting recently, already got an invite for Rusty Mansell’s all star game at end of season. Has a banged up shoulder so playing thru being hurt right now, but has 15 TFL, 47 tackles, and 3 sacks thru 7 games… dominated Elbert Co a few weeks ago - had 15 tackles, a sack, and FF. Had 6 TFLs against Jefferson… Bout 6’1 250 so needs a few cheeseburgers - but just scratching the surface. Just picked up 2 offers yesterday. 3.9 GPA. Would like to get him seen by some more D2 schools! Great kid from a great family.

Reading Dash's article and thinking about WR recruiting and maybe negative recruiting against us....

It can be hard to fight off negative takes even if they are not true. "Georgia’s 262 pass attempts are second in the league behind the 288 tries by LSU, numbers not usually associated with a Bulldog offense."

What Dash is saying here is true. These numbers are not associated with Georgia's offense, but they should be associated with Georgia's offense.

We led the SEC in pass attempts last season. We were second in 2022 playing two more games than everyone else. But still, we were in the top third in pass attempts per game.

Another thing that has really killed us in showcasing our offense to recruits as a place a WR can eat is injuries. Pickens never was able to showcase his talent the way he should've been due to injuries and merry-go-round at the QB position. I firmly believe Ladd would've had a huge season last year if he had been healthy.

Unfortunately, this year, we don't have a guy. These guys are good, but they can't beat coverage consistently. This is probably something someone who really knows football can explain, but I don't understand how guys so good at making people miss like Bell and Lovett can, can't do the same without the ball in their hands when running routes. Just seems if you can wrong foot a guy with the ball, you can do it without it.

is ranked 22 overall by Matt Miller for this year’s draft eligible players based on his new release for ESPN. Said AFC East rep called him best interior lineman in CFB. Guy is obviously extremely under appreciated.

Also had Starks at 9, Jalon 14, Mykel 15 and Beck at 33 based on performance through our first seven games. Guessing Tate outside of top 50 because of sitting with the injury.
