but down in the combined battleground states 46% to 52% (down 6%)

That seems statistically impossible but that is what they are currently reporting.

Rasumeesen Polling will come out later today but based on their daily tracking it appears to have Trump up 2%; they also did a North Carolina Poll where Trump is up 5%.

These are two conservative polls but clearly overall this could NOT be correct. Trump up overall by 2%, up in North Carolina by 5% but down overall in battle ground states by 6%

Who knows what is correct, but thought the contradiction was stark and worth watching. I suspect many crazy poll #"s over next few weeks (Marist had Harris up 5% nationally just yesterday). Some will be intentionally skewed to help get out the vote, some will be skewed unintentionally based on bad data, and some will be close to correct. Wouldn't wager either way.....

I’ve posted this video before of Fran Tarkenton’s debut as a member of the Georgia varsity, coming against Texas in 1958 in the only game played between the schools in Austin before this Saturday.

In his first varsity game, directing his first offensive drive as a Bulldog, Tarkenton leads Georgia on a 95-yard touchdown drive in 21 plays, or what is believed to be the most plays in a scoring drive by UGA in school history:

As the story goes, with Georgia trailing Texas, 7-0, midway through the third quarter, Tarkenton (a mere sophomore and the Bulldogs’ No. 3 quarterback who had yet to play a varsity snap) simply decided to insert himself into the game for No. 2 quarterback Tommy Lewis.

“They (the UGA coaching staff) wanted to redshirt me, and I didn’t want to,” Tarkenton said. “So, I just bolted onto the field.”

“This is where Francis Tarkenton came on, and a new and delicate air developed about the Bulldogs,” Furman Bisher of the Atlanta Journal reported. “At the five, Tarkenton made his first appearance of the evening and led his troops out of the offensive muck in which they’d been mired all evening.”

From his own 5-yard line, Tarkenton directed a 21-play, 95-yard drive lasting nearly nine minutes and culminating in a three-yard touchdown pass to Jimmy Vickers. Georgia, which had totaled just two first downs to that point, gained seven first downs on the scoring drive.

As another story goes, head coach Wally Butts sent the kicking unit on the field following the touchdown to tie the game. However, the bold Tarkenton decided to go for two, and passed to Aaron Box for the subsequent two-point conversion and an 8-7 lead.

Like most Georgia games from this era, the Bulldogs ultimately fell in defeat, losing to the Longhorns, 13-8. Still, you could say a Bulldog football legend was born that evening in Austin.

If you missed it, Oregon allegedly purposefully put 12 men on the field when tOSU had the ball with 10 seconds to go. With 12 men on the field, they could better defend tOSU. In CFB, that penalty is not a dead-ball foul like it is in the NFL. You could see a scenario where a team has 40 seconds to go and the ball on their 50 yard line, needing 4-8 points to win or tie. The defending team could put 12-14 or more players on the field. The play would be run and defended 99% of the time. Each play would take about 5 seconds off the clock. 40 seconds, 5 seconds per play, 8 five-yard penalties, the game ends on the 10 yard line. Now, that's cutting it close because the game can't end on a penalty, so more likely this scenario is used like Oregon did, or if the ball is on the 20 meaning the last play would be a hail mary.

In any event, in what may be the fastest rule change in NCAA history, you can't do that any more.

Never mind. The rule has been changed:

This did not seem like the utterance of a coach who thought his team had brilliantly exploited a loophole in the rules to deprive Ohio State of precious seconds at the end of the game. And it makes me think that the Ducks were more lucky than intentional in taking a penalty that helped win that game—a penalty that has led to a hurry-up rule change in college football.

The change—excuse me, “rules interpretation”—was announced by the NCAA Wednesday:

“After the two-minute timeout in either half, if the defense commits a substitution foul and 12 or more players are on the field and participate in a down, officials will penalize the defense for the foul and, at the option of the offended team, reset the game clock back to the time displayed at the snap.

“The game clock will then restart on the next snap. If the 12th defender was attempting to exit but was still on the field at the snap and had no influence on the play, then the normal substitution penalty of 5 yards would be enforced with no clock adjustment.”

Talking this BS about it taking several days to count the votes. That means they just keep counting or producing enough votes until Kamala wins. Just like last time. We have always known who has won the election by midnight est before. This is just a new tactic that Democrats have started using to steal elections.
