Carson Beck Reveals Which Auburn Player Rung His Bell Last Year

During our recent exclusive interview with ESPN's Sean McDonough, he revealed which Auburn defensive player stands out to Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.

"We asked Carson Beck today in the meeting," McDonough said. "Is there anybody to you on the defense who stands out and he said 'yeah No. 9,' who is Eugene Asante, who [Beck] said 'he hit me really hard on a blitz last year to the point where I still feel it."

3 and Out on Alabama opening drive

Haven't seen it mentioned on here....but we stopped them on 3rd and 5 with incomplete pass....but had it called back for offsides on the DE. They punt if no penalty and would have been interesting to see how it shapes up after that.

A lot is talked of Smith dropped deep pass....but stopping Alabama on their opening drive with 3 and out would have made HUGE statement.

WATCH: Nick Saban Reveals One 'Positive' For Georgia Following Alabama Loss

While Georgia would undoubtedly have preferred to win last weekend's matchup against Alabama, former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban revealed Saturday morning that the loss could actually prove more useful for the Bulldogs.

"I think it's tougher when you have a big win," Nick Saban said on ESPN. "I think when you have a loss, and the players are disappointed, it's just human nature that everyone seems to respond better when you have a thunderbolt, something bad happens. Everyone is willing to make the changes they need to make to get it right, and I think Georgia will respond in a really positive way."

I Survived Helene, and Back Online

I feel guilty expressing joy for surviving last Saturday of UGA football with no TV. But it sounds like that was a good one to miss.

Our 20 home development we live in, on Butler Mountain just South of Asheville, only had about a dozen trees down across our road that we cleared. But no power, water, cell service, phone service, and internet. Power came back on after 5 days to get our well pumps going. Hot showers! We still had no phone and internet service, so to avoid missing a 2nd football Saturday, more guilt for my "shallow needs", I took the scary trip down our mountain (see link), to the devastation below, to the closest Home Depot to buy a Starlink System. $300 ($200 disaster discount from $500), and 1st month free for disaster zone residences. After that, $120/mo. We were paying AT&T $100/mo. for a landline phone and 5Mbps copper wire internet. With the lousy service we have gotten from AT&T over the years, it might be months to get internet restored. I could have missed the whole 2024 football season. More survivors guilt for my "shallow needs", while 10's of thousands down below have lost their homes, businesses, and loved ones. :(
