Hello weekend, Dawgs!!

Still lots of emotions it appears. I'm just happy to be here. Excited for what is ahead and the apparent changes to come. Always down for a fresh start.

Gotta be honest, when the news on CKS's dad hit yesterday, I really had to stop and have an ah-ha moment. I had a hard enough time managing a small business, my regular job and a grandson.....can't imagine trying to manage a multimillion dollar football team of 18-22 yr olds, a staff, and family all while the pressure of winning looms over, with a health crisis of one parent in a strange city. I don't care if the man gets paid, he deserves it and he deserves some grace. Praying for Mr Sonny BIG!!

Have never really gone together. After Sark and Kiffin that narrative changed a bit, but for a while many Saban protégés failed because they couldn’t figure out the offensive side of the football.

It was my number one worry when we hired Kirby and was always in the back of my mind those first few years.

I’m a little worried again…I was hoping Monken was the new norm, now I’m starting to worry he may have been the exception.

At the 4:14 mark in the 4th, Dawgs had a 95.3% chance to win with a 58-50 lead after Flournoy made free throws. Thought it was a done deal and Dawgs were going to get a much needed road win but boy did it go downhill for them after...from that 4:14 mark they didn't score again until 0:43 secs when Avinger made a layup to make it 60-60. Then, just a crushing turnover by Turner inbounding the ball at half court that led to an A&M steal, layup with an and-1 with 0:12 secs. Just a tough end to that 4th.

This team has some really talented freshman. Verse, Turer and Woolfolk are going to be really good once they get more playing time under them. Hope the Davis twins end up being big for this program. Boy though, it's going to be a STRUGGLE this year with so many freshman getting so much playing time. Verse played 31mins and turney played 37mins respectively last night. That's a lot of playing time for two true freshman on the court.
