Not saying he’s the one, but a top center prospect who we offered just asked out of his NLI at Miami, this is just a preview of what’s to come

They have another SG recruit and a current SG who we offered/recruited as well.

He initially chose Miami over offers from programs like Georgia, Cincinnati, Boston College, Xavier, Cal, and others.

Hoop Dawgs....

I have watched more college basketball this season than I have in a few years, but one thing I have noticed about the better teams in the country is that they all play fast, shoot a ton of 3s, and run a 4 or 5 out style of offense, like the NBA. The teams that play a more traditional style, are struggling. Just look at the SEC, the top teams play a different style than we play. We have been better this year than we have in a really long time, but I don't know that we can play this style and expect to grow our program the way I think and believe we can. I think we could be a consistent tournament team year in and year out - with in state talent alone, playing a run and gun, NBA style of offense. & really, once you get into March, its a crap shoot in the tourney.

Thoughts?

NonDawg NYC-ish, Cyclones question

Anybody been to a Brooklyn Cyclones (Single-A) game out at Coney Island? Just debating the long train ride (1h+) out there from the city and if seeing a game there is worth it. Will be there opening weekend in April and hitting a Mets game one night, but thought seeing the Cyclones one night might be cool too. I go to NYC 4-5 times per year for work, but have never made the trip out to Coney Island. Thoughts? Recommendations against? Will have the wife and 13 year old son with me and yes, we are baseball fanatics so it seems like this idea is a no-brainer.

Match Game

So they’ve rebooted Match Game. Deutsche Nugget host Alec Baldwin even uses the long and skinny microphone from the original. That was a nice touch.
However, I miss Phyllis Diller and her one endless joke about her own flat chested-ness.
They also changed the bass-line while the (D-list) celebrities are writing down their answers.
Used to live for that mbwaaoaahow! ( buum bum bum bumm bum bum bum) mbwaaoaahow!
Glad to see that they have kept the original bumper music, but Alec Baldwin is just such a complete douche bag that I probably won’t watch again. That is all. Carry on DawgNation.

Good to see softball off to a good start in Orlando.

Love Tony Baldwin hiring Mike Davenport from UNG. UNG was a powerhouse in D2 softball, and Davenport was a big reason why. I think the offense is going to continue to churn (it hit a major roadblock mid-conference last season, which was really disappointing). But can the pitching produce? That seems to be the biggest issue for the Dawgs over the last 10 or so years, even going back to Lou.
