Good Morning Dawg Nation

Happy Weekend friends!!

Got John some meds yesterday morning so hopefully he's on the mend....thank you all for the well wishes for him.

I've been seeing all the recruiting visits on X and I miss when it was super exciting. I'll never doubt we have the best recruiter in the world on staff but do we have the NIL to retain them....ugh. Sure appreciate all the hard work CKS puts in though.

Praying for all those on the LDGMDNOPL and the GMDN gang too 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday/Anniversary if you're celebrating today 🥳 🎉

Love you guys and gals, MEAN IT!!

Go Dawgs ♥️

GAHS Coaching - Marietta Going with Ted Lasso

I post mainly on the main board but I just saw where Ed Reed will be the new D Coordinator and Jamal Lewis will coach at Chamblee HS, the old Collins Hill coach headed to commerce and the Langston Hughes guy leaving for Northside and Marietta is looking out of state for a coach(all in one tweet). I love some high school football, any Marietta guys here that can confirm this new hire? I feel like that's a sleeping giant with the benefit of being a city school and would want a proven coach with a good GHSA track record. There has to be a Marietta insider on this board.

Favorite play last season?

For me came down to two.

Stockton's run against TX to set up the game winner.
Or
Fraziers OT TD to beat Tech...just crushing their souls!!! Again 😁

I'm going with Stockton's just because of how badass it was. If it had been in the Tech game probably would have felt the same. I hate Tech.

Honorable mention is Chambliss forced fumble against Tech. It was super important but still required a lot more after, but I'd get it if it was yours.

So odd that Michigan and OSU won last national championships

College football is always changing always evolving. With expanded playoffs it seems conference “support” has waned across the board because 12 teams expands so many options where as when only 2 (BCS) or 4 you really needed that top conference (SEC) to ensure one loss could slide in.

I still strongly believe SEC is clearly the toughest and fiercest conference overall. But objectively the B10 has won back to back. Obviously hope this ends with a Dawgs National Championship soon of course but wonder if this is a small blip (and SEC wins next 5) or is a change we don’t realize
