Alabama basketball fans are just as arrogant and ignorant…..

as Alabama football fans. I don’t watch the Paul Finebaum show, except for maybe a couple of times a week I’ll tune in at the very beginning to see if there’s any breaking news. Yesterday, the first caller was an Alabama fan who was just as obnoxious as he could be. He was bragging about Alabama‘s three-point shooting against BYU, and he said “Paul, I really believe we could have beaten the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday!” I can understand fans being excited after a performance like they had against BYU, but this guy was SERIOUS! There are no words.

Going to my first game this fall

Looking for some wisdom from the Vent on attending my first game.

Got an Airbnb the weekend against the gumps. Never been to a game. My business has grown to the point I can finally watch my team in person. (I haven’t missed watching a game since I became a fan in 2004. Grew up in New Mexico. Random but funny story now.)

Here’s what I’ve learned so far about going to a game/Athens:
- the ice at Sanford Stadium is A+
- toppers is a must?
- rent a fast car while in town
- buy some hunker down bourbon

Here’s where I need help:
-no clue when to buy tickets. Right now they’re a little crazy. There’s 4 of us going.
- what are the top 3 places to eat?
- we’ll be in town for 3 days, is there anything we need to see or visit
- what’s the best way to get a tee time the Friday before the game? I’m guessing the university course is our best/only option.
- any additional tips welcome

Thank y’all! See you in September! Go Dawgs!
