More puzzling? Beck's slump or Fromm's?

Was Fromm's slump or Beck's slump more puzzling?

  • Carson Beck's

  • Jake Fromm's

Results are only viewable after voting.

Carson went through a strange, interception-laden stretch this year and then came out of it with an 11/0 TD/int ratio.

Jake went through a long 8 game stretch of his JR year where he suddenly forgot how to play the position.

Which one was more puzzling to you? Vote and then explain your rationale.

UPDATE Note on 4-star RB Carsyn Baker

I just talked with 2026 RB Carsyn Baker, who received an offer from UGA after ending his junior season at Langston Hughes. Baker was at a bowl practice on Friday when position coach Josh Crawford came up and met his family. He extended the offer to the new Rivals150 prospect on the spot. It was a "pretty cool moment" for Baker. He said that he's been waiting for the Bulldogs' offer for a long time. The staff wanted to see his entire junior tape before offering him, and he felt like his hard work paid off. Baker is originally from Milledgeville and played at John Milledge Academy for former Georgia fullback J.T. Wall. I covered him as a freshman for the Baldwin Bulletin newspaper in 2022**. He said he moved to Langston Hughes to get more exposure, which paid off. However, he is a Baldwin County kid "at heart" and loves Georgia because of Javon Bullard. Baker is a big, powerful back. Georgia likes his speed and durability. He carried the load for Langston Hughes this year. He's more of a bruiser than a scatback, but he wants to improve his ability to catch balls out of the backfield. Georgia has cemented itself in a good place for Baker. He looks to get back to campus soon and develop more of a relationship with Crawford. He's a name to watch in the next year.

True college football gurus GITT and riddle me this...

What exactly does North Dakota St do year in and year out to make them so freaking dominant? Just looked and they're 112-9 in the past 10 seasons...that is absurd.

Their offensive schemes are clean, but creative. They block very well in all areas. They tackle well. They don't seem to miss assignments. That I can see as an untrained fan of college football, but I cannot figure out the why.

It would seem you could get better athletes in the Southeast/Southwest and even Mid Atlantic parts of the country. I could understand it more if it was just one coach, but they are on the 3rd or 4th coach up there now and are still kicking everyone's butts in FCS. Also, it's not like they use some semi proprietary "system" like the academies do...they are fairly diverse.

If I am Kirby, I would want to do some knowledge sharing and find out:

1. How they teach and emphasize fundamentals.
2. What the secret(s) are behind their culture.
3. Is there anything scheme wise we could use at our level?

@brollinspff @AgrayDAWG not sure if either of you have spent much time looking at what makes them so good at that level.

Interesting thought on the over reaction show

Someone said that there wasn’t enough time to make wholesale changes to the offense leading up to the sugar bowl.

So my question is what in the heck happens if Beck would’ve gone down earlier in the year? If you have two different quarterbacks, you better be smart enough to be able to scheme plays for both of them because you never know when that quarterback is gonna have to go into play.

Another reason Bobo needs to go!
