As a gun owner, Wayne Lapierre is the most soulless, scummy bastard on the planet, and the NRA is right behind. He's the kind of swine you just want to kick the shit out of. Even though I support responsible gun ownership, I can't get behind those idiots. They don't care about their members or gun owners. They are a lobby for gun manufacturers, and their sole purpose is to make sure the flow of guns is as high as possible. They fight against existing gun laws which they lie and say they want enforced.

The requirement of screening all transactions even though many are already approved by permits to carry through the FBI is redundant and will cause the prices of purchasing Guns to increase to the consumer (read LAW ABIDING CITIZENS) not thugs, terrorist or drug dealers. There never was a loophole for online or gunshow purchases. Both require background checks. Dumbass is outlawing the private sales of fire arms to individuals from individuals. No matter, it will be undone when the right takes over again.
The biggest avenue for procuring guns by criminals is THEFT! Not illegal or legal purchase. Over 500,000 guns are stolen each year by thieves and burglars. Get them off the streets and stop the gang bangers from possessing a gun! Is that too difficult to understand? Add protecting street gangs to the litany of awful decisions you and your political gang is guilty of, along with enabling and justifying terrorism and rabid hatred for Jews...

If I was a politician and I was afraid of what the populace might do to me when they find out what's really going on in DC, I would want to take our guns away too. I think that's what it's really about. It's not like this hasn't happened before in history.

That is ridiculous. The guns bought without record or background checks kill many people, there's just no record of how they end up in the criminals' possession. So NRA supporting mental zombies then claim they were stolen.
Of course many are stolen and We'll never completely eliminate crime. Robbing banks is a federal crime, yet people still rob banks, does that mean the laws are useless and should be eliminated ? Of course not. Yet that is the kind of brain dead arguments NRA supporters use to argue against reasonable safe guards to make it harder for criminals and dangerously mentally ill people to get their hands on lethal firearms.

Buy a gun online and have it shipped direct to your house(without an ffl) and UPS will not deliver it and the atf will likely show up.
Otherwise, private sales are legal but all the laws apply so you are vouching for who you sell it to....

I know people sale guns via trade papers, etc all the time with no traceable records.
Why would any reasonable person oppose eliminating those loopholes ?
There is no loop hole, they are private transactions, have to be face to face.

There are loopholes, HUGE ones. A criminal can look in a local trade paper, make a call, meet the seller, buy the gun and leave no traceable tracks.
A tv news magazine crew went to a gun show in Denver and over the course of a day bought an arsenal from various private owners without anything more than cash and generic receipts changing hands.
I know of two -- a woman and her 8-year-old daughter, who were murdered in their sleep two weeks ago by her cowardly husband, who then blew his own head off. They lived in a luxury apartment building in the next town over. I have friends in the building.
I guess this doesn't technically qualify, but my best friend's father shot himself to death literally moments before his wife was going take him to a hospital for deep depression. And a childhood friend of mine kept a pistol in his glove compartment; his 5 year old took it out one day when left in the car with his siblings, discharged it, and killed his 3-year-old brother.
Other than that, no, I know of no one else.
The only loopholes are the failure of the federal government to enforce the laws on the books. The NRA is an organization that teaches the proper handling and use of guns as sporting or protection for gun owners in the event they need them. It is not as many on the left think mindlessly pushing guns on the populace. The NRA supports the laws and the law providers of this nation. The main goal is to protect our SEcond amendment rights from a tyrannical government such as the one we are living under now. obama cares not about safety of it's citizens, evidenced by his flagrant choices to allow possible terrorist into our nation without trying to do so in a logical manner. Look at the first thing dictators do when in power, they take away the peoples options at self protection from their own government (Hitler, Marx, Mussolini to name a few) the result was millions killed by their own government. This is what the NRA is fighting for to prevent another case in history where the populace is endangered by it's own leaders.

Private owners can and do sell at gun shows without registrations or back ground checks. They also sell via trade papers, newspapers, radio call in shows, etc, etc.
What's more, You have to know I'm correct, unless You never actually go to shows, buy or sell guns, talk to those who do, etc.

as i have said before , federal gun registration could lead to confiscation if some corrupt administration decided to try . hitlery has already said that an Australian type confiscation would be worth considering . this is not fantasy land ,it's the real world and it's all about more power in DC .
