Maybe because of tax cuts in the last 35 years. Before 1981 infrastructure was not a problem.
No new interstate highways have been created since then. Existing projects are all that have been completed.
North Georgia needs another water reservoir. No federal funds are available for that. AND another tax cut for the rich are coming soon!

No one is stopping you and your government loving buddies to donate all the money you can round up to the cause.
Reservoir not being built has to do with Govt obstruction by environmentalist, not money.
But you don't reply to the point of the OP's post. You avoid it and try to hang the blame on "the rich". It is a very old communist deflection strategy which the IRS adopted and uses virtually every year. Starting in March, they put out attack adds (using dummy fronts, never them) claiming corporations are getting away with murder by not paying enough tax. The reason they do that is to focus the attention of the taxpayer on "the rich" as the thief who is causing them to pay through the nose....... instead of the truth.
