Trump supporter here BUT

BUT why and how is it legal for Trump admin to take away income based replayment plan applications when they were put in place by congressional vote. The problem is they are not necessarily taking away the plan itself but have taken down the recertification application from the website that will result in people being taken off the plan. Pretty terrible idea that will not end well for him if he does continue to shit on student loan payers.
You can ask “why and how is it legal” about quite a bit of the DOGE cuts, legislating by EO, etc. The Courts have answered - it’s not.
You seem to support it all unconditionally, until it hurts you.

Elon mic drop

A few weeks ago you said he was the most conflicted person who could possibly be in a position of influence in government because he is there to enrich himself by boosting Tesla via his role in government. I argued the exact opposite. Looks like you are on my side now.
Not at all.

Musk is the most conflicted person possible to have the job of evaluating and ending government programs. That's simply a mathematical fact based entirely on the amount of direct and indirect government funding his businesses have received. You can't argue otherwise.

I don't believe I said his play was all about Tesla. I suspect he has much larger plans than that.

Also, you are evaluating Musk as a rational actor, which he obviously isn't. A rational businessman wouldn't post and share the highly controversial material Musk has been sharing on X for several years now. A rational businessman wouldn't be gleefully mocking the tens of thousands of families impacted by his layoffs. A rational businessman wouldn't behave the way Musk has, including throwing out what millions of people in the US and abroad saw as a Nazi salute, only to turn around and do the same for the back of the room.

It's going to be a very interesting few months for Elon. He obviously miscalculated the impact of his choices and behavior on his current cash cow and he could end up paying a very significant price for it.

New ad against Assoff

Disagree. He drives out the black vote and with Gwinnett and Cobb turning into liberal hotbeds there just isn’t enough voters to make up the difference.

Particularly if the republicans run a mediocre candidate.

Ossoff is beatable because he won’t drive out the black vote.
Spot on. They will arise from the grace to vote for Warnock. Sad thing is they can’t do it without a bunch of dumbass white liberals. Ossoff IMO will be a one term Senator. I fear we are stuck with Warnock till hell freezes over.

'Trump is right on Ukraine'......

thought this was an interesting read:

"I rarely agree with President Trump, but his latest controversial statements about Ukraine are mostly true. They only seem preposterous because western audiences have been fed a steady diet of disinformation about Ukraine for more than a decade. It is time to set the record straight on three key points that illuminate why Ukrainians and former President Joe Biden — not merely Russian President Vladimir Putin — bear significant responsibility for the outbreak and perpetuation of war in Ukraine."

"The basic outlines of a deal to end the fighting are obvious even if details remain to be negotiated, as Trump and Putin started doing today in a phone call. Russia will continue to occupy Crimea and other portions of the southeast, while the rest of Ukraine will not join NATO but will get security guarantees from some western countries. The sad thing is that such a plan could have been achieved at least two years ago if only President Biden had made military aid conditional on Zelensky negotiating a ceasefire."
