It would be no different because the old deal wouldn’t have prevented escalation of their nuke program. Why stay in a deal that doesn’t prevent what the purpose of the deal is for?

Yeah - never said there weren't any obese people in other parts of the world... but just got back from a 3 week trip to Japan and Thailand. Not a whole lot of obese people there. And if you think any country in Europe has more obese people than the Southeast US... well...

Have to admit, I did not see that outcome. If we prevent Iran from building nukes, why wouldn’t they just buy them? It’s an unlawful transaction, but who would enforce that?

I really hope every American is prepared for life after a nuclear detonation in Atlanta, NYC, etc. I think the odds of that are low, but they are greater than zero.

Also, I told everyone that “America first” and “no new wars” as just a ruse. At no point during his first presidential campaign to Donald Trump, promise that no new wars will be started. It was only years after the fact that somebody noticed, purely coincidentally, that we didn’t get involved in the new complex and try to act like Donald Trump caused that. It took less than five months for the United States to start bombing things in the Middle East.

Those odds were 100% if Iran developed nuclear war heads along with their so called space program. So we will see if Russia is that stupid.

The parliament and President are just figure heads. Everything that happens comes through the Supreme Leader. If he wants to close of the strait then they'll do it. If he doesn't they won't. He's religious zealot with a martyr complex. He's run his country into the dirt with his revolution at gunpoint., I'm sure they'll shut off the strait because this is who he is and he's still using his same playbook after all these decades.

Waiting to see if he wants to trigger another attack by the US. If he doesn't then he's going to look weak.

I suppose some unnamed country might sell a nuclear weapon to Ukraine if we're talking out our ass.

For all the talk about destroying Fordow, I'd like to see some actual verification that those blasts did what we say. The pictures show blast holes with a lot of what appears to be concrete dust but no apparent smoke from internal damage. If we broke through that concrete, I would have expected to see some kind of sign of a cave in the surface. The blast images are impressive but if the energy couldn't puncture all the way through the roof, then the blast would have to disperse upward the way it came in.

Of course someone that understands the blast physics would know what to look for.

The Iranians said they relocated materials a couple of days ago and there were 16 trucks in an satellite image outside the facility. They could have moved some of it but I doubt you could box up all those centrifuges along with the men needed to move that stuff in a handful of truck beds. If they did, then someone will figure out where they went. I think they were blocking off the entrances to ward off some kind of direct commando raid. Not a bad idea from that perspective. Don't think a few truckloads of dirt would make much of a difference with one of those GBUs.

It wouldn't be unlike Trump to claim total destruction out of the gate and then have to walk it back when the dust clears.

I agree the nukes had to go at some point and I don't think Iran would ever willingly give up that card after what they've invested but I'm also not a fan of Donald throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks in something this serious.

Iran is on the clock. They're saying a lot stuff, as usual, and that's for the benefit for the citizenry to show they're still in charge. Who knows what they're really able or willing to do at this point?
