It was $8m total paid to Politico so I’m unclear on your $29m statement. Maybe I’ve missed something.
USAID paid $24,000 to Politico and everyone loses their minds, but here is documentation of Republicans paying $1m to Politico for the same service.
I don’t think any of it is a great thing. It seems largely wasteful. But singling USAID out, and using the payments they made as evidence of fraud and corruption, is weak.
