Not sure why we are equating someone's importance, qualifications and ability / willingness to do their job by them checking their email. As a general aviation pilot, I know several that work in ATC - most work 6 days a week as that is required due to the shortage. Some haven't logged into email in months because they don't have time. Not all employees are desk workers just answering emails all day. Pure stupidity.
