What does this even mean?Whatever disruption RFK Jr can cause, it’s not enough.
Forget it, he's rolling. It might have been equidor or some other SA backwater
Whatever disruption RFK Jr can cause, it’s not enough.1) This board has a hard time understanding what “qualified” means.
He’s never lead any large organization and doesn’t know anything about medicine.
That means he is not qualified to lead a large medical organization. He doesn’t understand insurance but will be controlling most of it. There must still be some objectivity left in this world.
2) Also, just last summer, in an interview he said “there are no vaccines that are, you know, safe and effective”. Then on capital hill admits he and his whole family, including kids and grandkids are vaccinated.
He’s a freaking liar. He knows damn well vaccines don’t cause autism and that they don’t kill people. That’s why he got them for his own kids yet posts on the internet a bunch of whack sh!t that misleads gullible people.
Blaming the mid-air collision last night on DEI was particularly enjoyable this morning.
1) This board has a hard time understanding what “qualified” means.Nobody is doing that. But you summarily called RFK unfit and unqualified without any evidence. The man has been a practicing attorney for decades with an emphasis on environmental law and health. Just admit you don't like him bc of his politics or the fact that Trump has selected him to be part of his cabinet.
I'm sure you realize that politics is all about coalition building, including with Trump who is all about draining the swamp. Yes, some of Trump's appointments are all about paying back for helping him win the election. Also, "most qualified" is relative compared to your goals. I'm sure RFK is expected to "stay in his lane", and if he deviates he will be axed. Same with Tulsi. None of us have a candidate who aligns 100% with all of our beliefs so we have to make the best possible choice. I agree with some of the Trump agenda but there are parts (tariffs) that make me cringe, but he was still the best possible choice by a wide margin. He has proven to be an effective leader who can get things done regardless of what I think about individual policy positions.
Blaming the mid-air collision last night on DEI was particularly enjoyable this morning. After New Orleans, he was trying to blame immigration and it turned out to be an American citizen from Texas. This morning he makes it about what the last two Presidents have done, when there is no evidence that anything they did was responsible for this.
I don't agree with a lot you said here, but I do agree that so many things can be improved. But how do we go about changing things is the question. "Spend our time and resources building up people's skills and knowledge so they can earn their way". That is so idealistic and I don't see any concrete suggestion. It would be great if 90% of the people receiving free lunch would only need that benefit temporarily, but you are living in a dream world if you think that can be accomplished. He did bring it up but I do not think it was dishonest. I do think he cares about those who might need the food. The part that is frustrating is people assume the worst and start picking things apart and trying to find fault before it is even warranted. That is true for both sides for sure. The left has a strong desire to make everything Trump does seem evil and self serving.
Life is not fair. We all start from different places and we start with different strengths and weaknesses. We tend to try to help out too much and not encourage most people to try to figure things out own their own. These programs should be temporary in nature and truly a safety net. We should spend our time and resources building up peoples skills and knowledge so they can earn their way. Sure it will not work for everyone. But it will work for most and I believe 90% who receive these benefits would need them only temporarily if things were structured correctly.
This is a reasonable take that I completely agree with. Do you not know how to DawgChat, sir?I'm sure you realize that politics is all about coalition building, including with Trump who is all about draining the swamp.
