President DJT'S nominees are once again dominating the disgusting libs....

Hard to understand why the members of an embattled political party are attacking initiatives supported by over 80% of the public in some cases. When you see them enmasse vote against the Protection of Women in Sports Bill while 70% of registered Democrats supported the bill; it almost seems if there is something purposeful going on to weaken the party.

1) This board has a hard time understanding what “qualified” means.

He’s never lead any large organization and doesn’t know anything about medicine.

That means he is not qualified to lead a large medical organization. He doesn’t understand insurance but will be controlling most of it. There must still be some objectivity left in this world.

2) Also, just last summer, in an interview he said “there are no vaccines that are, you know, safe and effective”. Then on capital hill admits he and his whole family, including kids and grandkids are vaccinated.

He’s a freaking liar. He knows damn well vaccines don’t cause autism and that they don’t kill people. That’s why he got them for his own kids yet posts on the internet a bunch of whack sh!t that misleads gullible people.
Whatever disruption RFK Jr can cause, it’s not enough.

RESEATING STORIES: Curious how other season ticket holders experiences were...

We have had baseball season tickets for the better part of the last 25 years (took a few years off for travel baseball). We were in section 204 on the 1st row.... now in 209 near the top. Funny how we didn't allow any new season ticket holders, but EVERYBODY I know had their quality of seats go down (and we over donated as well for the seating we ultimately were able to get). Similar to the Stegman "process" it seems like some funny business going on... Curious others experiences, based on the Facebook page quite a few pissed.

Nobody is doing that. But you summarily called RFK unfit and unqualified without any evidence. The man has been a practicing attorney for decades with an emphasis on environmental law and health. Just admit you don't like him bc of his politics or the fact that Trump has selected him to be part of his cabinet.

I'm sure you realize that politics is all about coalition building, including with Trump who is all about draining the swamp. Yes, some of Trump's appointments are all about paying back for helping him win the election. Also, "most qualified" is relative compared to your goals. I'm sure RFK is expected to "stay in his lane", and if he deviates he will be axed. Same with Tulsi. None of us have a candidate who aligns 100% with all of our beliefs so we have to make the best possible choice. I agree with some of the Trump agenda but there are parts (tariffs) that make me cringe, but he was still the best possible choice by a wide margin. He has proven to be an effective leader who can get things done regardless of what I think about individual policy positions.

Today’s real story is Trump stopping the grants . . .

After New Orleans, he was trying to blame immigration and it turned out to be an American citizen from Texas. This morning he makes it about what the last two Presidents have done, when there is no evidence that anything they did was responsible for this.
Blaming the mid-air collision last night on DEI was particularly enjoyable this morning.

Today’s real story is Trump stopping the grants . . .

He did bring it up but I do not think it was dishonest. I do think he cares about those who might need the food. The part that is frustrating is people assume the worst and start picking things apart and trying to find fault before it is even warranted. That is true for both sides for sure. The left has a strong desire to make everything Trump does seem evil and self serving.
Life is not fair. We all start from different places and we start with different strengths and weaknesses. We tend to try to help out too much and not encourage most people to try to figure things out own their own. These programs should be temporary in nature and truly a safety net. We should spend our time and resources building up peoples skills and knowledge so they can earn their way. Sure it will not work for everyone. But it will work for most and I believe 90% who receive these benefits would need them only temporarily if things were structured correctly.
I don't agree with a lot you said here, but I do agree that so many things can be improved. But how do we go about changing things is the question. "Spend our time and resources building up people's skills and knowledge so they can earn their way". That is so idealistic and I don't see any concrete suggestion. It would be great if 90% of the people receiving free lunch would only need that benefit temporarily, but you are living in a dream world if you think that can be accomplished.

And there is no need to make everything Trump does seem self-serving. He does it all by himself. In time of tragedy I would like to see whoever is President deliver a warm comforting message to the American people. But Trump makes it about himself when he should shut up. After New Orleans, he was trying to blame immigration and it turned out to be an American citizen from Texas. This morning he makes it about what the last two Presidents have done, when there is no evidence that anything they did was responsible for this. It's the wrong time and place, but that's his self-centered existence. For all those who want to praise everything he does, go right ahead because there is no stopping you. I hope he can make some positive changes, but he sure brings a lot of negatives to whatever he tries to do. Stop blaming the past and fix it.

This is a reasonable take that I completely agree with. Do you not know how to DawgChat, sir?
