Rank Our Assistant Coaches

Where am I off?

1. Schumann: Recruiting, NFL draft production, defensive coordinator, our next assistant who will be a head coach. I don't care defense has underperformed a bit
2. Hartley: Arguably the best position coach at his position in the country behind Hartline at OSU.
3. Tray Scott: NFL production, recruiting (Terry and Griffin), and our D Line has played pretty well this year despite injuries
4. Travaris Robinson: Should maybe be 3.Starks has had an up and down year. Dan Jackson has improved a lot under him. Going off reputation here.

DROP OFF

5. Mike Bobo: Good not great.
6. Chidera Uzo-Diribe: Recruited some good players at outside linebacker. Hard to tell how much of the lack of production is our scheme vs. players not meeting their full potential.
7. James Coley: Recruits well traditionally but need to see it at WR.
8. Stacey Searels: Maybe the Vent's reputation is bringing him down here. Not getting top top o line recruits right now but his evaluations in this freshman class seem good. Disappointed for how the o line has played a bit.
9. Josh Crawford: Not hating here. Just don't love our upcoming recruiting class of backs. Still in wait and see mode here.

DROP OFF

10. Donte Williams: Corners seem to have regressed. Can recruit but no proven history of production coming from USC. Hope I get proven wrong.

I was born in Austin...

And, my Mom is a UT grad and huge Horns fan. Fortunately, one of the few things my Old Man did well was teach me the love for all things Red & Black, (that and Herschel Walker came along when I was a football-crazy 12-yr-old.) I've always had a reasonable amount of affection for UT and the Burnt Orange.

But, not this week. I told my dear Mother that she and her kind are the hated enemy, and sent her a picture of horns down. I'll go back to being a good, respectful Son on Sunday. But right now? "Hunker Down You Hairy Dawgs!"

The new leader of the NRA

According to court records, the new head of the NRA, Doug Hamlin, was one of five fraternity brothers at Michigan who pled no contest to cutting off the paws of a cat, hanging it up and setting it on fire. It was the fraternity cat and he was president of the fraternity at the time.

Apparently, they were angered by the cat not using the litter box, which, if I were to speculate, was probably not cleaned on a regular basis.

Longhorns.....lets assess who they have played.

Colorado St....UTSA....LA Monroe.....then the 'credible' teams of Michigan, Miss. St. and OK. First Michigan.....they are a fraud. At 4-2, two of those wins were against Minn and USC at home, both by 3 pts, and they should have lost those games. Michigan will finish at 7-5 unranked. Next Miss. St....we saw exactly what they are about...not much there. Last, Oklahoma, another fraud, who will also finish 6-6 with Bama, LSU, Ole Miss and Mizzou yet to play. Texas has yet to play a team even close to our talent and physicality. If, and it is a BIG IF, we eliminate the penalties and TOs, we win this game by 10 pts. If the game was in Athens, we win by 10+.

The SEC replay official for tomorrow’s game…

Was on my flight to Austin just now. I told him to be kind to us. A nice, brief conversation ensued. Smiles and respectful exchanges…

I’m in his head. No doubt about it.

If the Dawgs have a replay call go our way tomorrow night, you’re welcome.

If we get screwed on a call…I can promise you I didn’t do it.

Go Dawgs
Beat Texas
