We just got done watching practice, yes, watching actual practice inside the team's Indoor Facility.
We had six staffers here, so we've got a TON coming.
Allow me to lead this thing off.
Running Backs
Let's talk some good news, shall we? For those worrying about
Chauncey Bowens and
Dwight Phillips Jr. - don't.
Both were at practice today, doing drills with absolutely no problems whatever. They are good to go.
No, neither
Branson nor
Roderick Robinson were there and neither are expected to play in the Sugar Bowl.
Nate Frazier is one quick joker. He's just different from an acceleration standpoint.
Trevor Etienne also appeared to have a little extra pep in his step.

Offensive Line
As I mentioned in a thread earlier, the No. 1 offensive line remains unchanged. LT -
Monroe Freeling, LF
Dylan Fairchild, C
Jared Wilson, RG
Tate Ratledge, RT
Xavier Truss.
Earnest Greene III is the backup at right tackle.
Quarterback
Gunner Stockton made some nice throws.
Ryan Puglisi took most of the reps with the twos, followed by Jaden Rashada.
Colter Ginn also took part, as did freshman
Hezekiah Millender, who threw a nice touchdown pass to -
Colbie Young.
Other notes
As far the newcomers, freshman
Elyiss Williams really struck me. Just tremendous length, and moves extremely well for someone listed at 6-foot-8.
Defensive end
Chase Linton also caught my eye.
Defensive lineman
Christen Miller appeared to be practicing without any limitations due to his shoulder.
There were a number of black jerseys, but most of, if not all were early enrollees. They did not provide a roster with their names, so apologies.

JED'S NOTES
No surprise here, but it’s
Gunner Stockton’s show. He took all the No. 1 reps that we saw during the media viewing period.
Freshman
Ryan Puglisi took most of the No. 2 reps.
Jaden Rashada went behind Stockton once or twice, but it appears Puglisi is the backup to Stockton.
Freshman
Colter Ginn and early enrollee
Hezekiah Millender were both wearing 13. It seems like they might be part of the scout team simulating Notre Dame quarterback
Riley Leonard’s game.
I also saw freshman early enrollee quarterback
Ryan Montgomery, although he is out with a knee injury suffered during his senior season.
The quarterbacks worked on scramble drill scenarios during the last few minutes of the media viewing period. Stockton showed off his good wheels and made some throws on the run.
Puglisi moves pretty well too. His first two throws in the scramble drill were incomplete, although they seemed to be good defensive plays as much as anything.
The tight ends spent most of the viewing period with the quarterbacks.
Early enrollee tight end
Elyiss Williams looks like an absolute beast. He’s a first one off the bus candidate for sure.
Don’t forget about
Ethan Barbour in this class either. The early enrollee tight end had an impressive leaping touchdown catch in the end zone on one rep.
One last note concerning the defensive line -
Christen Miller was in a regular white jersey and appeared to be moving around fine. He looks set to play against Notre Dame, providing a major boost to Georgia’s defensive line.
LANCE’S NOTES
— I mostly focused on the OL. Tate Ratledge and Jared Wilson were leading the pack with energy. Position coach Stacey Searels was on their ass about taking every rep with consistency. The different OL groups were running through individual drills where they practiced their footwork after the ball was snapped. Ratledge, Monroe Freeling and Dylan Fairchild just made the reps look effortless. It seems like Jahzare Jackson, the 6-foot-11, 330-pound freshman, is coming along nicely. He was running with the second team at LT.
— Freshman QB Ryan Puglisi can SLING IT. He makes it look so easy. He threw a couple absolute dots to Arian Smith and Anthony Evans toward the sideline. I wouldn’t come him out in the spring.
— I don’t even know how to describe freshman TE Elyiss Williams. He needs to add some weight and muscle mass, but oh my. He looks the part. Williams got great hands. There’s no way he ends playing the TE position. Dash said that after we left practice. I agree. Williams told me a month ago that he wants to play the X-spot and I can see that.
From Patrick Garbin
I focused on the wide receivers. Video of the group from today’s practice is below my notes.
There were a few wideouts wearing duplicate or scout-team numbers, so it was a bit confusing keeping track of everyone. Still, for the majority of reps, it appeared the rotation more-or-less started off with
Dillon Bell and
Arian Smith (and
Niro Tuggle sometimes with the first group), followed by
Anthony Evans and
Dominic Lovett, followed by
Colbie Young and
Sacovie White, followed by
Cole Speer,
London Humphries, and others.
Young looked good. The lanky (but kind of thick) receiver made a nice catch or two during each drill. His best catch (which I unfortunately didn’t get on video) was of a deep ball thrown from 35 to 40 yards by
Jaden Rashada. Young really had to go up and make a great catch. Although he can practice, Young is currently suspended from playing.
In the final drill we observed, Lovett made a couple of nice catch-and-runs.
