Is this the worse defensive back Play that we’ve seen under Kirby Smart and his tenure at Georgia? Poor technique, bad eye discipline, don’t play the ball well in the air. Not sure why we keep running the same guys out there. We have a five star freshman and Ellis Robinson sitting on the bench. Thoughts?
It looks like all the coaches we have lost over the last several years is finally catching up to us. Kirby cant do it all by himself. But he’s damn sure trying. Dudes gonna blow a blood vessel at some point.
No shows off a bye week for a whole half against a not-great Bama team, calls out the crowd after another boring display by his team (the same week many in attendance were affected by a hurricane), has another player arrested for domestic violence, then the crowd responds to his call out and his team rewards them with another disjointed, lazy effort. Just laughable all around.
..... even against a 1-4 MSU team.... Its obvious we have the talent to be soooo much better but we just repeatedly shoot ourselves in the foot with mental mistakes.
I don't know if this is a result of the NIL era and players out enjoying the fruits of their labor before they fully put in all the labor and focus required or just the worst coaching job as a group of UGA coaches in the Kirby Smart era...
Or perhaps its both with some other stuff mixed in... but man, this is a very talented group and I hope they can get their heads on straight.... But this is week 6 and typically by week 6 you pretty much are who you are....
.... and this is looking like a physically talented team that just doesn't have what it takes between the ears to win a championship this year.
