Life lesson applied to recruiting...pull out sooner

The only thing we are doing wrong in recruiting with these misses on Terry, Kromah, Wallace, etc., is that we should have pulled out sooner. We have a model. Solid talent evaluation on 3* and 4* talent and a brand that will still bring in some 5* (Griffin) talent at a fair market value. We are not outbidding, so stop chasing. It'd be way less stressful for everyone.

Seven Rematches in the SEC Championship...

and the winner of the regular season matchup has gone 5-2.

The average score of the regular season matchup is 32.8-18.3.

The average score of the rematch is 31-18.7.

The rematch winner has won the game by two scores regardless of the outcome of the first game.

Only one team has lost by more than one score and come back to win the rematch: 2017 Georgia.

The only two coaches to win a rematch in an SEC Championship after losing the first matchup are:

- Nick Saban (LSU 2001)
- Kirby Smart (Georgia 2017)

I don’t do these a lot anymore, but here you go for what it’s worth

First off I feel like Georgia will sign the number one class in America this week
I think Justuce will sign with us on Friday giving us the top two defensive tackles in America

Second, I feel like the transfer portal is going to be very good to us. It’s been talked about a lot and we’re gonna get rid of some dead weight.
@cforest spoke about this last night, but I do believe we’re going to spend a lot of money for a very good playmaking deep threat receiver, and edge rusher an OL
, a CB and I feel like we’re gonna go play making quarterback as well from the portal

In regards to Texas. I think we match up very well for them. Pressure the damn quarterback and I think we win by double digits again. We will see arch Manning, but we will inflict pain upon him again. We will have a plan for both quarterbacks. Get Ewers off of his spot and he will panic and get crunched again.
I think Georgia gets it done again this weekend.

Couple of other things @Radi Nabulsi and Coach will be doing a post game celebration show in Atlanta after our victory

Also, I expect @DonutDawg to be very positive this week!

I think Texas’s left tackle is out or at least wobbled at best. Our edge rushers destroyed their tackles last time. I expect the same thing to happen.

And what were they thinking letting us wear red jerseys in this game. I guess they didn’t know we’re undefeated and red this year that streak will continue.

Login to view embedded media And if you look above at the full game from earlier this year. You will see our DL dominate them and also how bad our offense played at moments in that game.
Beck did not play a great game versus Texas last time. If he plays a good game, we don’t lose to anybody and I think he is going to continue playing well.

It’s hard to say which Georgia team is gonna show up, but I will tell you this is one of the most resilient teams I’ve ever seen and I sure as hell would not be against them. I think we will get it done again versus these bastards on Saturday.

@Bulldog Bob will be reporting later this week from my understanding

Who/When does UGA hire a GM for football?

I don't need my coaches spending a majority of their time recruiting now.

That should be the GM's job going forward if $$$ is the be all end all.

You can always still have the traditional recruiting for those kids that aren't all about the $$$ but there is no reason for Kirby to recruit a kid from the 8th grade once it becomes apparent $$$ is what matters.

Let the GM figure that side of it out. Kirby shouldn't have to worry about how his NIL money is being allocated.

Just Coach.

Sadly this is the way of CFB until they cap this NIL. Gotta adapt or die.

Where is the Line?

I understand everyone wanting UGA to play the game and if they don't play the game then the few years of dominance is over, but where do you draw the line? If you keep giving and the giving keeps going up like it is sure to do at some point the $$$ will run out. People (donors/boosters) can't just keep giving and giving can they? How far are we willing to go to sign players? Just not sure this is best for the longevity of the sport.

Tomorrow...

Lord willing, we will be on top late in the game, and hopefully, on top comfortably. And if that's the case, we better not see Kirby taking a f-ing knee to run out the clock. Score every damn point we possibly can on those sumbitches. This is actually good for me as a fan....my bitterness over the AD Mitchell poaching was waning to almost nil, but now I once again have plenty of reason to want to mash them without mercy - like they would never think was possible.

They can have the high school kid. I want the SEC crown, and I want us all to piss down their oil wells.
