During the last 4 years, it is quite interesting that the Dems became the party of

Being in favor of federal law enforcement (FBI) and pro federal/international intelligence gathering, ...
But wanted to defund police at the local level for at least the beginning of their reign in 2021. A lot of congressmen/women got elected to defund police.

In the 1970s,,...Dems were against federal law enforcement as the CIA and FBI got caught with their pants down with improper surveillance and entrapment of anti-war hippies,... Dems now are now in favor of a federal police state as they continually defend the secret service, FBI, and CIA during the last 4 years of their discourse during Congressional hearings and media spouting,...

It is not policing that the dems are against,...but it is policing at a federal/national level in which subverts local sovereignty

It is quite a big tent party that wants to defund the police at the local level and expand budgets and surveillance of the police state at the federal level.

Did last night's ratings change your outlook on UMass?

Beat UMass, beat Tech, and we're in. That is and should be our main focus, in addition to getting healthy.

However, I would argue that we need to look the part these last two weeks to ensure we jump past #9, which is the hardest path to the Natty by far. That team will have to play #8 on the road, then SEC/B1G champ, then #5 (most likely SEC/B1G runner-up), and then the championship game. Not to mention, hosting a playoff game would be massive.

The mindset might be to take a breath this week and cruise to a win but I just don't think we can do that Saturday and definitely not against Tech.

Halftime and 3rd quarter posts from Vol gamethread....

"Couple years ago we lost by 14 in this place, but just look at us now" Vol:
Look at how far we’ve come with Georgia as a bench mark in 2-3 years? Wow.

Just a couple years ago we all agreed we didn’t have the horses to go toe to toe with them. We do now. If the programs both stay their course every game will be a battle and toss up moving forward.

Maybe old fart Vol still has eligibility left to take over for Carson in 2025: When you have 5 seconds to throw the ball every down my old ass could complete all day too.

As all Vols said going into this game, "streaks all come to an end": It’ll be nearly impossible to keep the under 20 streak going

"That's why you schedule a bunch of cupcakes, Kirk" Vol:
Kirk gets under my skin.

So a three loss GA team should still be considered for playoffs b/c if their schedule.

The why play the damn games if the final scores don’t matter, Kirk? A three loss GA team should not go over another 2 loss SEC team or even a one loss Indiana team, or two loss Big 10 team.

A loss is a loss.

"Let's just blow them out" Vol: The fumble that was but wasn’t a fumble, the phantom offsides, the blatant no call pi, holding on every down, we can’t add onto all that. The refs, the announcers, ESPN are all against us, and we are on the road. Needs to be too big to rig in the second half.

Shockmaster Vol: We can’t let this one get away from us. We are 2 quarters away from beating Georgia and shocking the world. Let’s score on the first drive in the second half and keep momentum on our side.

shockmaster-o.gif

Salty and buttered Vol:
this third quarter is going to be fun, I think the Vols pull away. We are going to run it - a lot - and then the deep ball is going to be there.
And Banks will have the adjustments to Beck in a very uncomfortable position form which the wheels are going to come off.
Grab your popcorn fellas

kirbysmart-popcorn.gif

Completely unbiased Vol take: Beck is not the standard for a good game. Nico is having a good game - some of the (expected) calls and drops are hurting his stat line. Beck is getting helped a lot by our constant offsides, having a non-catch called a catch that was 20 yards, and fumbles upfield that sustained a drive. He is playing well but getting helped. Look at completion percentage. Nico is being efficient with his throws and Georgia is just slinging the ball and hoping something sticks. Not to mention the multiple penalties on our defense extending drives.

Truthful Vol: At game, Georgia fans are getting belligerent. Most have been great though. Sanford stadium is beautiful.

Vol who did not watch the Ole Miss tape: Someone send the Ole Miss game tape to Banks so he can actual see what a blitzing D can do to Beck. Remember, it took him at least a half before he grew a brain against Miss St.

"Jesus is coming back at 3 a.m. Sunday morning November 24th" Vol: Our d-line is about to have a half. Beck throwing 29 passes in the first half is a good sign to me.

"Got a 10-31 over here at Sanford Stadium. Can someone notify the coroner? Suspect 6'4" white male wearing a number 15 red jersey" Vol: This is the game missing Pili is showing up.. our backers are getting murdered in pass coverage.

"We will feel totally fresh walking off the field after this loss" Vol: Another thing I love: knowing five years ago we’d have felt a ton less confident because we didn’t have depth and knew we’d be worn out by the fourth. We’ve completely flipped the script on that and now that’s our opponents’ problem.

Tennessee's opening drive

****'s sake UGA is getting away with every DPI.

That was a pretty terrible attempt to draw them offsides if that's what we were doing

Was a laughable attempt
That was really ****ing stupid

3-man rush is crushing our oline.

Can we please catch the ****ing ball? Jesus

Georgia first second half drive- Tuggle facemask

Jesus ****ing Christ guys.

lol. 1st and forever. I knew they’d get it.

Weak ass flag

It was 2nd and 24 what the **** is our defense doing???

No face mask!!

Is that a serious call?

Where’s the face mask??

Georgia needs buckle up their helmet!!! BS luck going their way

The helmet just came off

WTH! No facemask there!

Telling u. We have to best them badly or we will lose to refs.

Replay shows no face mask.

Not even close to a facemask.

These refs are out if their f%$#ing minds!!

Changing the subject Vol: How bout them Lady Vols. Dang scoring machine with defense. Recruiting well. Kim gonna turn it around. Sorry, had to break up the anxiety.

"Even took time to tip the barista" Vol: Beck had a sandwich and a coffee on that drop back.

Helmets magically come off when playing the Vols Vol:
Garbage ass refs. They see a helmet come off and just throw the flag w9thout actually seeing what happened. Been several times this year

Lying Vol: I’m so over these refs

Your Pie Vol: Beck has time to order a pizza back there

Caution flag Vol: Welp, wheels are coming off.

wheels-fall-off-f1.gif

"Phantom facemask but legit stoppage for Vol injury" Vol: He was limping before he went down. F off, bozos.

"Officials don't know rule book. Ripping helmet off is fine as long as not done with facemask" Vol: Embarrassing on the official to make that facemask penalty. Giving them this momentum.

"I just threw my mustard bottle at the TV" Vol: Ole Miss does it 27 times then they mention it, we did it once and they want him Ejected!! Eject the frign REFS!!

Gotta wait for it Vol:
Lazy running off the field almost cost us.
What in the sam hill are they reviewing?

And the answer

Wow going to call illegal substitution….

Good lord the fix is in.

You can review an illegal sub? Never seen some junk like this

How can you call 12 men on the field?

How can you f’n call that when a flag wasn’t even thrown

Wtf this is downright criminal at this point...

Properly laying the blame Vol:
What the hell is our guy lazily walking off the field? Come on.
Get your fat ass off the field!!!!

The truth is out there Vol:
these refs. Sankey made the call

Disciplinarian Vol: 51 needs to run f’ing bleachers on Monday. You sprint off that field next time. My gosh we’re screwing ourselves.

"This makes no sense. We're all Sankey's children." Vol:
Why are the refs doing this. The SEC doesn't care which of us or UGA makes it.

Nauseated Vol: I’m so sick of this ****.

SSDY Vol: CJH getting absolutely OWNED by Kirby.

Carson Beck TD run

Letting that meth head score untouched. Just get on the bus if that’s all the effort you’re going to give.

Pearce was held and pushed in the back

Sec wants Georgia to win. Figures

It’s over. We can’t beat uga and the refs. Such horse ****

10 was getting held by 2 guys.

ACC or BIg 12? Vol:
**** this conference we need to leave

"I'm booking my Better Help therapist right now" Vol: My god this is almost unbearable. The commentators are frothing at the mouth every time we get called for a penalty.

"We have the evidence" Vol: Ref was grinning on the 12 man call. There was no holding it back.

"Terrible officials in every Vol loss since I've been alive, but this is by far the worst" Vol: One of the worst officiating crews I've seen and I've seen some real stinkers. Making stuff up as they go. Doing everything they possibly can to help UGA.

"Bobby Hill needs to grow some testicles" Vol:
These are the types of moments where Heupel shows how soft he is.

I already know how post game is gonna when it comes to screw job calls by the refs in this game.

Tough Love Vol:
We have a bunch of crybaby fans. Tennessee is losing this game. The refs have not taken anything from them. Missed calls happen. Tennessee plays back and soft on EVERY third down. It is a UT issue.

Postmaster Vol: The route has started

"Dawgvent said this was a trash OL, QB, WR, RB, TE room" Vol: 24 to this garbage offense.... inexcusable as we're playing people I hardly EVER see in the game at crucial points.

Nightmare Vol:
Our strength is losing this game . Defense blows tonight.

7 minute drive. And now UGA has scored on last four possessions. We can’t stop their offense. Kirby - Bobo out-coaching Banks and Heup.

We have no answer when Kirby blitzies when we go hurry up. And we don’t know how to defend bunch formation and middle of field. Beck looks like Heisman Trophy winner 2nite.

"Austin Jeanty portaled into Knoxvegas" Vol: Give it to the best rb in the nation here

"The stadium cops would have to taze me 5 times" Vol: Well it’s about to get worse tonight. I would damn near get kicked out of this game if this BS continues. Danny White needs to have the conference commissioner on blast right now raising hell.

Fox Mulder Vol: I have long thought Sanky fixes games for the teams he wants. Really obvious calls going to GA. They will leave us out no matter what

"Refs just trying to keep it close for TV. Otherwise, Vol blowout" Vol: The refs wouldn’t be calling for Georgia unless they expected us to answer. This is all about keeping it a close game.

"Vol domination. Refs giving UGA a chance." Vol: As frustrating as not seeing a good defensive game called, these refs are keeping UGA alive.

"We're the black sheep of the SEC" Vol: I am beyond over the bias against TN. Sure, the 12 years we were terrible with those 3 idiot coaches, I get it. But the carry over to the Heupel years where we are actually relevant again is just disgusting and this is squarely on Sankey and ESPN. Screw both of them. Just another Saturday night suck fest by the commentators for our opponent.

UT drive stalls after one first down

Yep that’s ballgame boys

Game is over. We need to be running the ball. Defense isn’t gonna stop them.

This game is over

Stick a fork in us

Like I said - fix is in - SEC is not going to let UGA not be in playoff contention.

"Ref has in cap communication with Sankey upstairs" Vol:
At this point I have to believe there’s a lot of outside communication going to the refs on the field during live action. There’s no explanation for the blatant bs calls.

Delp dropped pass

Thats a ***** fumble

Of COURSE. THAT'S A damn FUMBLE

That's a ****ing fumble!!!!

Another blown fumble! Unbelievable!!!

That's a fumble

Of course they call it incomplete he stepped twice with it after catching it

THAT'S A ****ING CATCH AND FUMBLE

Worst refs i have seen in yrs

IT WAS A ****ING FUMBLE.

Looks like a fumble to me

a fumble that wasnt. thats twice.

No review? Seriously?

Georgia drive stalls at midfield. Fourth quarter coming....

What is the "fix" going forward?

We all know that the committee is FOS, but what should be done about it? Here are some ideas:

1. No seeding preference for conference winners--at least not automatic ones. I have no problem if they give weight to conference championships.

2. The emphasis on number of losses has to be abandoned. That is the current problem with the committee: it's a ranking system based on number if losses, with the one exception of Miami.

3. The criteria have to include boosting teams for quality wins, and dropping them for bad losses. I think there is some unfairness in emphasizing SOS too much, because it's out of each team's control (to some degree). The criteria should even say that a loss to a team not in the top 25 should be viewed as the equivalent of multiple losses, but at the same time, multiple quality wins should overcome a single loss, especially a quality loss.

4. The criteria should expressly say that the committee will not look at pure number of losses and instead focus solely on a team's résumé, which must include strength of record, strength of schedule, quality wins, and quality losses. "Counting wins" will not matter except when comparing the quality of those wins.

If we don't push for changes to the criteria, we will continue to have situations where our conference is penalized because of how rugged the competition is. Or we will have to course correct by scheduling nothing but patsies, which would de-value the sport. You simply cannot have great competition and then only emphasize the number of losses each team has without it impacting the quality of the product.

We need the scrap the CFP Committee and use the following scientific, non-biased decision formula:

1 Are you the Georgia Bulldogs? If yes, then you are in the CFP.
2 Did you beat the Georgia Bulldogs? If yes, then you are not in the CFP.
3 Are you Florida, Auburn, Ga Tech, Tennessee, or Alabama? if yes, then you are not in the CFP.
4 Are you north of the Mason-Dixon Line? If yes, then you are not in the CFP.

I think this formula will work out just fine.

Unpopular opinion?

South Carolina looks to be a pretty good football team they are 7-3. Now factor in how they should have beaten LSU but the ref's just wouldn't let it happen, and similar bad luck to lose to Alabama in OT..... USCjr could have very easily been 9-1 right now. Who saw that coming from the dude we all like to make fun of in Beamer.

Hats off to Shane, I was a naysayer but I am eating a little crow right now. I have definitely been guilty of thinking he would have been fired by now. His results are actually impressive.

Let's talk Clemson? Are they the real victim?

Dabo would love it.

But imagine a world where an 11-1 Clemson team is left out of the playoffs vs Indiana at 11-1.

All they had to do was not play Georgia.

Who do you think would be in?

Currently Clemson has no shot as compared to them not even in the discussion....but does anyone think Indiana would have beaten UGA? No.

So another point to say, the committee is saying we reward record over content

Edit 2. If Penn state, Ohio St, or Indiana (who will lose soon) all played Georgia and not Clemson then they'd all be out and Clemson in right?

P.s.

I hate Clemson so glad they aren't in lol
