First of all, with him resigning from the House, he avoids the publication of the evidence from the investigation.

Secondly, Trump realizes that, while the Senate is expected to support him, they still want to have the appearance of making their own decisions and not just rubber stamping anything Trump wants. So he probably expects, or maybe has even agreed behind the scenes, that he will serve up a sacrificial lamb for them to vote down.

So, it could be that nobody expects Gaetz to be confirmed. He avoids the embarrassment of whatever was going to come out, the Senate gets to look like that they will do what they feel is best and not just rubber stamp every appointee.

Why would Trump do this? As a favor to Gaetz and to show the Senate that he's willing to work with them to make them look good, while he still gets what he wants in the end. It could be that the next nominee for AG, if there is one, is who he really wanted all along.

He just won the CA Senior Am today, which was played at Monterey Peninsula CC. He was the only player to finish under par and won by four shots in very windy conditions. It was three rounds and he shot 77 66 71. You won’t find a bigger Dawg fan anywhere.

Aside from Bama being ranked behind UGA and Indiana top 5, I like these! I know when it was just the computers the majority was up in arms wondering why there was no human side to it. Now we have humans that need technology's help. Why not have the CFP committee and BCS computers collaborate to rank the teams??

With the UCLA game being canceled in 2025 and 2026, who have we found as a replacement? I know Marshall is the replacement for 2025, but I haven’t seen a replacement named for 2026. Anyone heard anything?
