Kirby shouldn’t blame the fans for leaving and not caring

College football is a bad product right now. Very few people have interest because of NIL/portal and conference realignment. Right now, its only purpose is as a social occasion and the fans acted accordingly.

Kirby could’ve used his voice to try to slow down what’s become of this sport, but he didn’t. He should look in the mirror and realize the fans deserve better than what’s been done to them instead of trying to shame them.

Is it reasonable to think our oline play would be better with Ratledge and Wilson

Lol

Why are some of you hell bent on expecting our oline to be living up to expectations without a number one pick in Ratledge?

Would you think the same if our number one QB or Wr or DL etc went down?

No grace. It's cute but not reasonable.

And the our oline sucks is so lazy and caveman. They clearly do not or we wouldn't be a play away from undefeated number one.

Love the simple minded expression but don't you really want to understand what is going on?

At RB we got a great RB...and a potential great and a guy who.has been inconsistent to not good (likely because he is being pushed to do it for lack of options)

Roderick will be back before end of season. Ratledge will be back, and Frazier will start to be a mainstay. But why aren't we dominating right now. Injuries just don't matter? Lol wtf get out of here.

Bet we are fine...but feel free to judge as if this was the preseason plan and aren't doing what we should

College football playoff committee bias based on economics

The FSC division has had a 24 team playoff since 1978, and is partially the inspiration for the 12 team playoff in the FBS this season.

FCS figured out over time that they needed a playoff schedule of home game matchups until moving to a neutral field at least the semifinals and championship game.

Quite frankly a lot of FCS teams/universities lost hundreds of thousands of dollars travelling on the road within the playoffs and refused to partake financially to accept a playoff bid...

The FCS playoff selection committee learned to use economics to make the playoffs feasible,...they would chose a ranking system somewhat coherent based on the wins and losses record,...but at the same time reward universities who could financially absorb team travel across the country,...another economic assessment was to reward the home game to the team who could produce a greater home attendance,...for instance if Georgia Southern was ranked 10th nationally in the FCS and North Dakota was ranked 2nd, Georgia Southern would get the home game since they had a history of higher home game attendance.

Now traditionally the FCS did not get much TV money and teams had limited budgets,...

But having a 12 team playoff in the FBS on complete neutral fields (in southern cal, Texas, Miami, Atlanta) throughout puts a focus on selecting a playoff team that may either travel well and/or get good tv ratings,...

Having home games for the highest ranked team in the playoff schedule until the championship game removes the "potential" economic factors of selecting teams based on regions and fan base profitability,

A complete neutral field playoff inserts dr pepper and corporate enthusiasm in place of college football pageantry,...

And maybe all 12 FBS teams selected into the playoffs can absorb travel and would never decline invitation because of TV money and being programs with larger budgets,..

but how much integrity do the college selection committee have that they would disregard pressure from selecting a 9-3 notre dame team against a 11-1 Boise State team for the 12th spot in the playoffs?

If the FCS playoff selection committee is a guide, economic forces play a role,

And a pile of neutral site playoff matchups only makes the situation worse
