Don’t believe we should continue to play the SECCG …..

With the CFPs, it is no longer needed and is more of a drain on teams physically. An SEC champion can be determined by which team has the best conference record, with tiebreakers just like MLB and NFL have.

It’s all about the money that the game generates, so I doubt that it gets abolished, but it should, IMHO. A game of this magnitude is really hard on teams physically, and they could use this week off after the season to heal and recover.

NonDawg Weird Question Re: Stolen Valor

I’ll try to keep this short. My dad served in the Navy. I never served. Many years ago I gave my dad a US Navy hat with his ship’s hull number and silhouette embroidered on it. I think his widow threw it out because I can’t find it. I’m going to be watching CFB with the men at my church on Saturday and with Navy playing Notre Dame, I had a momentary thought that I wish I had Dad’s old hat to wear. My next immediate thought was that would probably be Stolen Valor. I know we have a lot of armed services veterans and active duty on this board. What say ye? If I had Dad’s old hat could I wear it in public on special occasions (not Veterans Day or anything like that) or nah?

All this prattle about the "Sanford Experience"

Guys, do we really need to chase this fool's gold of trying to turn our home games into a Vince McMahon wrestling PPV?

Paraphrasing Kirby, to hell with the bells and whistles. Leave the drone fireworks and fancy lights to Texas and any other school who wants to guzzle that fake juice.

What if we bucked that trend and went old school instead. We got a throwback coach who's the hardest working man in the game. A Maximus Decimus Meridius for the 21st Century. I'll take that every time over a fireworks Emo Bevo in the sky. Let's be the hardest working fans in the game, and quit this candy ass carping over music and lights.

After that ass-whoopin' his boys put on over at fancy-dancy DKR on Saturday, Kirby would be fully justified to pose the question to each of us, "Are you not entertained?"

If you're not, you should be.

Why is the media getting so butt hurt over Kirby saying they picked against us? They did.

He was just telling them how motivated the guys were because of it. Weird melt by them and trying to turn it as a negative about Kirby.

Media who picked Texas:

ESPN

Rece Davis (on his pod)
Desmond Howard
Saban
McAffee
Corso
Finebaum
Tebow

CBS

Dennis Dodd
Tom Fornelli
Chip Patterson
Shehan Jeyarajah
Jerry Palm
Brandon Marcello
Josh Pate
Brian Jones
Randy Cross

Others:
Joel Klatt
Steve Coughlin

Yahoo:

Pat Forde
Ross Dellenger
Dan Wetzel

Picked Georgia:
McElroy (ESPN)
Roman Harper (SECN)
Richard Johnson (CBS)
Neuheisel (CBS)
Aaron Taylor (CBS)
Joey Galloway (ESPN)

18 to 6 in favor of Texas. Don't get what the big deal is. And there's nothing wrong with them. picking Texas. Understandable. But why cry about Kirby using it motivationally and saying something about it at the end of the game.

Congrats to Terrence Edwards - SEC Legend

Not 'Alright, Alright, Alright' Matthew McConaughey Issues Statement on Bottle Debacle

It has been the talk of the college football universe since Saturday when, inside Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, the Texas student section littered the field with bottles after the controversial third-quarter defensive pass interference penalty that would later be overturned. Now, just a day after the SEC announced that Texas would be fined $250,000 for the actions of its fanbase, famous Longhorn alum and actor Matthew McConaughey has issued a statement.

If we can just get Beck to quit throwing Interceptions

and playing average or slightly above average and play defense the way we did Saturday night we can go ahead and make room in the trophy case for another Natty trophy. We also got to get Schumann and Kirby to not get too conservative on defense too. Release the Dawgs like we did Saturday night. Let them eat
