Defense and rebounding, especially offensive was the difference.

On a night when we didn't shoot it well and had fifteen turnovers we won by double digits vs #6 team in the country. UK scored 106 Saturday vs a very good team in UF. We held them 40 points under that total. I don't know how many and ones we had off of offensive boards, but it was several and they were all crucial. Asa was superb on the glass. Very few open looks for the cats all night and we did it without a lot of fouls.

If Leffew is anywhere near his norm we win by twenty. He and Blue missed a bunch of absolutely wide open 3s. Still have a lot of work to do on our offense, but the ball movement was better tonight. Blue had his best game in a while, He and Silas are two the best rebounding guards around. Tyrin is in a bit of slump lately, but our depth at guard allows for a couple guys to be off a game of two. DeShayne needs to clean it up some as he has been taking poor shots and turning it over.

You should win most games you shoot 38 freethrows We got a game we really needed to get by using our strengths.

Watching the Hoop Dawgs last night, it was amazing to me...

how absolutely interminable the last few minutes of the game seemed! I'll admit I don't watch very much college hoops these days (or NBA), but good lord, it was like the refs had to review every single play for something, anything, who knows what. I swear the game clock hit 4 minutes at 9:00, and the game didn't end until after 9:30. Just so many fouls, especially by Kentucky, even when the game was clearly out of reach. Way too many unnecessary timeouts, and as I said, way, way too many reviews. I'm obviously super glad we got the win, but man, that was almost painful to sit through!

NonDawg Dog CCL Surgery

Anyone in here have any experience with their dog having CCL surgery (dogs version of ACL)? Had to take my lab to the vet today after he had been limping and barely putting any weight on his back leg for a few days. Will do x-rays later this week and know for sure, but he felt pretty confident that is the issue. Just curious about the recovery time and rough cost that others have paid if that is the route we have to go? Our vet has done about two dozen of these surgeries and can do this at his office. TIA

What does our 2 deep OL / DL look like in 2025

Man oh man. Someone talk me off the ledge…

Championship football teams are built on the line of scrimmage. There isn’t much if any middle ground here to debate.

We are getting absolutely gutted on the OL and DL. Freshman rarely contribute in a big way at those positions….really your 3rd year guys are where the elite play starts.

What’s our plan here? Seems like next year could be absolutely brutal…

QB room

Guys the reason we have to
pick up a QB either now our spring transfer is because we actually need one. Montgomery is going to rehab all year and may be ready by camp. The room
needs somebody with experience …..and will compete to elevate Gunnar and Pugs. I will be shocked if we don’t get one. Who it will be is up in the air. Just know we are reaching out to many you may know to see if their is interest. In my opinion and my sources the staff understands this and the timing of the portal created some obstacles. We were not going to bring a transfer in with Gunnar having his first start. Those ascetics would be horrible. Just be patient the CCC and Kirby know what they are doing. 😜.

The only concern I have other than that is OT. Freeling has the ability but his development is being hampered by subpar developer. (My opinion). The Jackson kid is so freaking athletic and long. If he reaches his potential we are looking at a Top 5 tackle in the draft. I’ve watched practice and that dude has got all the tools and more! I was the director of a high school All american game! Trust me I know what they look like!!! Hell had Saquon and Lamar Jackson on the same team. I knew those two creatures were special from the first time seeing them. lol. I also think we have some big bodies that will play RT.

The Wilson move hurts in my opinion because we are stacked at G but center is a different discussion.

I would watch out for the freshmen OL ( Gaston) that played in Armour game. I have a buddy that is their talent evaluator and he said he is massive great feet and has a bad disposition. He said by far best OL their this week. Yes better that those 5 stars.

I do think we need to take a look at OT in
portal but they $$$$!!

On a side note. He said Griffin is a damn freak. He said best interior DL he has seen since Jalen Carter. He said quote “ Twitchy as ****, competitive dawg and athletic as hell”.

Development at the end of the day is what we need at OL. Talent is on campus!!!

Is the expectation that staffing changes will occur after roster changes are done?

I'd be shocked if we didn't have some change in staff, we do every year. Just wondering if this is roster management time to be followed by staff management.

I'd also like to say: the fact that free agency and HS signing occurs during the season is insanely stupid. Just as stupid as acquiring players before sorting out their coaches.
