In an oversimplified attempt to put all the analyses of our game into a neat package

there seems to be an effort to justify picking Notre Dame to win/keep it extremely close by talking about what a great team they are.

A lot of folks are talking about how well they match up with us, how their strengths play well compared to our relative weaknesses, etc.

I'm hearing little more than lip service when it comes to picking Notre Dame to win because our starting QB is out. It's mentioned, of course, but not generally given as the primary reason.

Maybe it's because a lot of people out there don't want to seem lazy by saying that. But, I wonder what most of these folks would say if you asked them if they would pick Georgia if Beck was healthy.

Not sure if that makes sense, but that is what I feel is happening. Everybody and their mother would be picking Georgia to win with Beck, but now, many are picking Notre Dame because they think they are a better team, which doesn't jibe.

Commented: “Dude doesn't follow recruiting or know ball. A gap the size of the Grand Canyon in roster talent and especially in top end premier talent (5 stars Georgia: 5 ND: 0).

If Georgia can bully Texas's Joe Moore finalist offensive line TWICE in the same season, ND is going to be dominated by Georgia's front seven.

Kirby will force the game to be played in a phone booth and ND doesn't have the dudes to win that kind of game.”

To which he responded back with: “Let’s bet on it then homer”

Honestly hilarious he took the time to look at my instagram. He’s such a candy ass for that, I even made his twitter bookmarks for the Notre Dame game—-v

UPDATE Carson Beck will join team in New Orleans

Kirby Smart -
"Yeah, he's going to join us in the next couple of days down here. Big thing for him has been a part of his rehab process and what all he's had to do. He's had a really tough injury. He needed to get some rehab from people in Jacksonville. He's got a specialist that has worked with this injury. Brock Purdy had a very similar injury. Nick Mullens, I think [Matthew] Stafford. He had several people. So when you talk about his team of people, including the surgeons, he's had to do a lot of work with that. So he's been there for Gunner throughout. He's supported Gunner, had multiple conversations with him. Looking forward to having him with us for this game."
