UPDATE GHSA State Football Championships - Day 3

The final day of the high school football season is here.

The GHSA state championships conclude today with three more games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The 1:00 game is the private school state championship between Prince Avenue and Hebron Christian. Prince Avenue features 2027 running back Andrew Beard, a UGA target and the nephew of Garrison Hearst.

For those interested in such things, Prince Avenue also has Georgia football legend/Georgia Tech signee Christian Garrett on the defensive line.

At 4:00 we have the AAA state title game between Calhoun and Jefferson. Not much happening here from a Georgia perspective. Jefferson does have 2027 linebacker Max Brown, Sammy's younger brother who has started picking up some big offers in his own right.

Calhoun also features Texas tight end signee Emaree Winston.

The nightcap is the big one, the AAAAAA state championship game between Grayson and Carrollton.

There's tons of talent all over the field in this one, loads of guys who have signed to major Power Four schools. Of course, Carrollton is led by five-star quarterback Julian Lewis.

From a Georgia recruiting perspective, here are the guys to keep an eye on:

A look back: Gators on Etienne's transfer and Georgia 2024 season.....

Prior to SECCG

In hindsight, mama knows best Gator: Kid made a bad mistake listening to Momma and big brother.

"He might get on the field in the Swamp....in the fourth quarter...vs. the FCS school" Gator: If he dropped back into our RB room he's RB3, maybe RB4 since he can't block for sh@t. Every time I see Jayden Baugh, Montrell and Jackson bowling over DBs to the House the thought of ETN and his mom makes me smile

Agent Etienne Gator:
What if it was all a big plot to go over there for a year, spy on Kirby's playbook, then come back here with the intel?

Complete failure Gator:
That he is failing at georgia and Napier has been able to showcase an even better RB in Baugh is great. I imagined ETN killing it at georgia and embarrassing us, but it turns out he's only created more doubt about his abilities and attitude at a second school.

"He's a quitter" Gator:
He is averaging less yards and less yards per carry, playing for GA.
My bet is he will sit out the bowl game to get ready for the draft.

"Ain't tough enough to be a Gator. Had to transfer to Charmin Kirby" Gator:
And his draft status has also been hurt this year as he’s given the impression he’s soft. Not a look that’s sought after at the next level.

"Wataboy part II" Gator:
Awwww. That's too bad for RB 1, uhmmm, I mean RB 3, or 4, or WTF ever.

Mama ETN, needs to take that teet out of his mouth.

Pride of Gainesville Gator: Hurting ETN and taking his Gators mouthguard really made me like this team more.

"My BFF gave ten bucks to the CCC and gave me a box of Bulldog Cookies for my birthday" Gator:
Spoke to a great childhood friend, who's a big UGA booster, and he said there's serious discussion "inside" that ETN will transfer after the season. He's not happy there because teammates aren't fond of him because he acts entitled.
Color me shocked

Aged like a bottle of Boone's Strawberry Hill Gator:
Hilarious. His departure ended up being far less significant than most thought. I don’t think he’s brought a whole lot to Ugly

GT game

Arrested Development Gator:
So far - with half the game in the books - ETN has zero carries. Might be some truth to the rumor or perhaps he’s still butthurt from the WLOCP.

"He can forget portaling back!" Gator: He chose to be a dwag. You can’t be a Gator after that.

"He'd jump at the offer to be our Special teams superstar" Gator:
I have always told my kids mistakes will be made..learn from then and don't make one you can't recover from. As a potential NFL prospect he has made one that he might not recover from. You think your family always has your best interests at heart and they might...that doesn't mean they will good advice. I bet if Billy called he'd jump. " You run back punts and we will see how it goes from there, if your teammates say you are a cancer in the locker room you want see the field again, that's my offer take it or leave it".

"Going to the ACC like big brother" Gator: Yup... for predictions, Momma had Travis buy her the house in Jax to be close, and this is why the little bitch came to UF, to be close to momma. Then transfers to UGA because it's within "the mommy radius" for total control, er, games. So I'd look within that radius, but given that FSU and UCF are sucking, I think that leaves Miami or if she's willing to stretch, he's off to Clemson.

Lil Gamecock Gator: If he wants to be an RB1, he's going to Jacksonville State.

"Just not a big boy football back" Gator: That he is failing at georgia and Napier has been able to showcase an even better RB in Baugh is great. I imagined ETN killing it at georgia and embarrassing us, but it turns out he's only created more doubt about his abilities and attitude at a second school.

OBGYN Gator: ETN still on the dogs injury report as “out” Gators. must have really bruised his vagina

And....you know

ETN had some plays today. Screw UGA!

Beyotch he will always be.

Even Chauncey Bowens and his 11 total carries for the season could have scored that game winning TD.

Sour grapes Gator:
Meh, who cares about him. We knocked his punk ass out of the game and he was nursing a sore vagina for a couple weeks. "Pain management" is another name for it.

He got his glory last night. No self respecting guy can play for uga after being a Gator. Screw him. Let us never mention his name again.

Cal is playing tonight... I assume Mendoza is...

Would expect him to announce transfer team in next few days. Don't know why he entered portal before his last game... would be shocked if it's Athens. Seems like no news is good news on our transfer entries. The longer guys like Keye go seems to benefit us. Same with Shaw.

Arian having another year is huge. If we can keep Tuggle and Evans then all we really need is the bigger body type to compliment the room. I can see us taking two actually... both upperclassmen. And pay ETN.

Seems we are 100% taking a safety. Wish we could get a report on Kyron Jones and if he is progressing at Star... dude ran a 10.6 in high school. If he transfers out we will probably take a nickel as well.

With Kirby focusing on another natty I just wonder if Kirby already has his guys and is just having them hold off announcing until after the Sugar Bowl. The first week of January could be crazy.
