Unscientific rankings based on SOS and quality of wins and losses

Here is the ChoppedWood unscientific rankings based on SOS and quality of wins and losses. It only ranks those frequently in the discussion as playoff teams...also does not consider automatic bids. It is by no means perfect, but I'll take it.

The system allocates and deducts points as follows,

+5 points for a top 5 win
+3 points for top 10 win
+2 points for a ranked win
+1 point for a win
-5 points for unranked loss
-3 points for a ranked loss
-2 for a top 10 loss
-1 for a top 5 loss

Rankings are as follows...

1. Oregon +18 points
2. Georgia +11 points
3. Penn St. +11 points
4. Boise St. +11 points
5. Ohio St. +10 points
6. Indiana +10 points
7. Texas +9 points
8. SMU +8 points
9. Notre Dame +7 points
10. Alabama +7 points
11. Tennessee +4 points
12. South Carolina +3 points
13. Arizona St. +2 points
14. Miami 0 points
15. Clemson -1 points
16. Ole Miss -3 points

Carson Beck's wheels (no, not the lambo...)

Big turning point in the season on offense IMO has been his threat in the run game. His 3rd and 8 conversion in OT was the biggest play in the game.

He still somehow manages to get every single DE read wrong (keeps when he should hand off and vice versa), but at least he is giving the defense something else to think about.

Stetson gave us that element, and Fromm did his freshman year in 2017 (and then never again).
