I have people across multiple platforms making comments like "why did we trade Freeman" because he's having a great World Series. I've made some replies and now I've got people from all over wanting to engage me on the topic. I heard Chipper Jones tell the story of what happened for 20-30 minutes once. I think I said he took 45 but that was an exaggeration.

The Braves offered 5 years and the Dodgers offered 6, both comparable money per year. Freddie wanted to stay but was allowing his agent to handle it. Chipper said he kept warning Freddie, saying, "Alex ain't playing, you better call your agent and tell him what you want". When the MLB lockout happened, they were unable to negotiate. Alex traded for Matt Olson because he did not want to be left without a first baseman. Chipper said Freddie was blindsided and hurt. I believe he fired his agent. To be clear, the rumor was that Freddie's wife wanted the 6th year and the money (go figure). At any rate, that was 3 seasons ago. Matt Olson is younger and has hit 45 more homers than Freddie during that time.

"DJ makes things difficult to defend. Hes a killer who goes for a defenses neck. Stack the box, play single high and he kills you (best deep ball thrower in the sec). Play 2 high, we have significant numbers in the run game.

Uga has the 14th best run offense in the sec in sec play. Beck has 8 turnovers in the last 7 games. No clear number 1 WR (bowers and Ladd were incredible). Most vulnerable uga team in awhile.

The game is winnable, we can also be down 21-0 before we blink if we turn it over early. Should be a good one if DJ doesn’t turn it over. I think we will be shocked at how competitive this game is."



"We are going to win. UGA has more talent but lost McConky and Bowers on offense and you can see the effect on Beck. He does not have his safety valves this year. Their defense is good, but I think DJ is the best long ball thrower and will have them hedging if not I think he makes them pay. I just think we have a chip on our shoulder and some confidence. Defense is flying around and their offense is not as good.

To be fair I've read 10X as many posts predicting they will get their asses kicked Saturday, so they aren't all this ^ delusional.

Miles talks about how he was about to get an opportunity to play with the offense and not be on Scout team then he got hurt. Its around 7:20 mark. Really pulling for this kid and all the kids who aren't household names yet they sacrifice their bodies to help the Dawgs. GATA MILES!!!
