Non football …question about new school of

Medicine . My daughter has been accepted to UGA - honestly she wasn’t as excited as I was - I guess it was more my dream for one or 2 of my kids to go to UGA - that being said she visited friends in Athens last weekend - met a cheerleader and the cheerleader started talking about her plans for new medical school and it sparked my daughters interest and she came home excited 🙏 we did the normal tour during summer and they didn’t even mention reallly anything about it . Anybody have a quick overview of where UGA is with this huge addition? Thanks - sorry but I know the dawgvent has experts in all aspects of life😜

Mike Bobo

I have read all your post concerning CMB. We did not lose this game because of him! Blaming Mike Bobo is like blaming a pilot because all he had was one engine! It’s no secret… UGA struggled all year offensively! The games and the stats speak for themselves! Leading the country in drop passes is not a stat that championship teams normally wear. If Bobo is responsible for offensive evaluations… then hold him accountable. But I have a feeling CKS isn’t handing out scholarships to kids without a say so! So if you’re gonna critique then the head man can’t be left out if you truly want to get better. But Carson and Gunner flew our plane with one engine all year long. Our Championship defense took us as far as it could… but could not overcome a special teams tud and a fumble inside the 10 yd line. Our plane had one engine and can only fly so fast! We got it handed to us upfront last night. We were one dimensional the entire game and most of the year. Look where we ranked nationally in rushing yards. That tells a story too! You give us Brock Bowers and Ladd last night with Andrew Thomas and two more stud offensive lineman. Then watch what happens!! It’s a different game and we win!!! The coordinator can fly pretty good when he’s got two 777 engines!! Bobo doesn’t block nor catch! You can bring your sarcasm all you want to this post! But any coach will tell you…. You need engines to fly fast!!! Go Dawgs!!!

I think alot of folks hoped that Bobo would

learn something by working in Monken’s offense, or at least near enough to it, so that some of Monken would rub off on him. That quite obviously didn’t happen. Different folks say that there are different reasons for this ( Take your pick) but all of those things are the responsibility of Bobo.

Bobo has never been elite and I don’t know why we expect that would change over this off season.

NonDawg High School Recruiting Advice

Hoping to get get some advice from the braintrust of the vent, as I am sure a bunch of you have gone through this before - sorry for long post.

My son just finished his Sophomore season, playing 6A in Georgia. Started every game, at DE,. He lead the team, and region, in sacks, and ended up 2nd Team All-Region. He is under-sized, at 6'0, 190 lbs. He will gain a bunh more weight, but itsprob done growing, so will be 6'0 or 6'1" at best. My guess he can get to 215 lbs in next 2 years.

His goal is to play in college, and his skills line up, but his size may be tough (will cross train as OLB this summer). That said, looking for advice on getting recruiting started this spring/summer.

Beyond football, he takes a ton of APs, is on the IB track and has straight A's. Division 1/Power 5 is prob out of the question given his size, but think he could be a fit for Ivy league or high academic/football schools (Hopkins, Patriot League, etc).

That all said, not exactly sure where to start on recruiting, other than posting highlights on Twitter, Instagram, etc. Also will be Following specific coaches on tiwtter/insta and emailing highlights to certain coaches. No idea which camps to go to, and which are worth it.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
