On Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria” on Oct. 8, President Donald Trump described Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) as a “communist; she’s left of Bernie!” The president went on to cite Sen. Harris’s views, which are indeed even more extreme than Senators Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) or Elizabeth Warren’s (D-Mass.).
But there’s much more compelling evidence to indicate that, yes, Kamala Harris may indeed be communist.

Leftist Parents

Harris’s parents, her mother Shyamala Gopalan, an Indian cancer researcher, and Donald Harris, a Jamaican economist, were both hard-core leftists.
In the early 1960s, the couple were active in the Berkeley-based Afro-American Association.
According to one former member, Aubrey LaBrie, “Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were the heroes of some of us. … We would talk about Black Muslims, the liberation movements going on in Africa, everything.”
The group’s leader Donald Warden mentored two young Afro-American Association members Huey Newton and Bobby Seale, who would go on to found the Black Panther Party in 1966. The Panthers followed a Maoist philosophy and supported communist China. They serve as a model for today’s Black Lives Matter movement.
Years later, Warden (by then known as Khalid al-Mansour) would play a role in helping Barack Obama get into Harvard Law School.
In 1975, Donald Harris was recruited to the Stanford University economics department as an open Marxist.

Pro-Communist Boyfriend

After playing at student radical at Howard University, Kamala Harris returned to the Bay Area to launch her legal career. Thirty-year-old Harris formed an eyebrow-raising romantic relationship with then 60-year-old Willie Brown, a leading California Democrat, soon to become mayor of San Francisco.
Brown helped Harris’s career and steered her into a couple of board positions that paid her about $400,000 over 5 years, according to the San Francisco Weekly.
Brown was a long-time communist sympathizer. He was first elected to public office with the help of the Communist Party USA youth wing. He was funded by Dr. Carlton Goodlett, a communist newspaper owner, once awarded the Lenin Prize by the government of the former Soviet Union.
Several years after his affair with Harris, Brown was still openly sponsoring Communist Party fundraisers in the Bay Area while serving as San Francisco mayor.
Today, Brown is widely regarded as one of the Chinese Communist Party’s best friends in the Bay Area.

Communist-Affiliated Protégé

While serving as San Francisco district attorney, Harris mentored a young San Francisco activist named Lateefah Simon. After hiring her and helping Simon get through college, Harris introduced her young friend to many influential San Franciscans. Today, Simon serves as president of the leftist Akonadi Foundation and chairs the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) board.
When Harris first met Simon, the younger woman was serving on the board of directors of the Oakland-based Youth Empowerment Center. Every single other board member—Harmony Goldberg, Adam Gold, Cindy Wiesner, and future Obama Green Jobs Czar Van Jones—were members of the Maoist communist group Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM).
Gold is today a member of LeftRoots, an affiliate group of America’s main pro-China communist party Liberation Road.
Simon is best friends with another LeftRoots member, Black Lives Matter founder Alicia Garza.
Harris openly supports Black Lives Matter and is still close with Simon and Garza. In turn, Garza is a long-time friend and associate of LeftRoots comrade Alex Tom—a man with close ties to the radical Chinese Progressive Association and to the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco.

Communist-Affiliated Financial Benefactor

Harris’s sister Maya Harris was a student activist at Stanford University. She was a friend of Steve Phillips, one of the leading Marxist-Leninists on campus and a long-time affiliate of a pro-China group League of Revolutionary Struggle.
According to Phillips’ blog “Political Intelligence”:
“First, let me make clear that I come out of the Left. I’ve studied Marx, Mao, and Lenin. In college, I organized solidarity efforts for freedom struggles in South Africa and Nicaragua, and I palled around with folks who considered themselves communists and revolutionaries …, and I did my research paper on the Black Panther Party.”
After leaving Stanford in the early 1990s, Phillips led many of his comrades into the Democratic Party. He also married into the multi-billion Sandler family Golden West savings and loan fortune, which enabled the young revolutionary to buy himself considerable political influence.
Sandler money has funded the Center for American Progress, ProPublica, and multiple candidates and ballot initiatives around the country. In 2008, Phillips spent $10 million through his PowerPAC-plus on voter registration drives in Southern and South Western states that got his friend Barack Obama ahead of Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.
In 2013, Phillips helped elect his old Stanford friend Cory Booker to the U.S. Senate from New Jersey. In 2018, he almost made his protégés Stacey Abrams and Andrew Gillum the governors of Georgia and Florida, respectively.
Phillips is a friend of the Harris family and helped Maya Harris’s husband Tony West become associate attorney general in the Obama administration. He has also been a major sponsor of Kamala Harris’s political career.
In 2003, Phillips helped elect Harris as San Francisco district attorney. Ironically, she beat incumbent Terence Hallinan, who as a young communist helped Willie Brown win his first election.
Phillips’ PowerPAC-plus helped elect Harris as California attorney general in 2010 and then to the U.S. Senate in 2016.

Pro-Communist Chief of Staff

In the early 2000s, Harris’s current chief of staff Karine Jean-Pierre was active with the New York-based Haiti Support Network. The organization worked closely with the pro-China/North Korea Workers World Party and supported Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the far-left former president of Haiti and his radical Lavalas moment.
In April 2004, at the Whitman Theatre at Brooklyn College, 2,000 gathered to hear a program entitled “An Evening with Friends of Haiti: The Truth Behind the Haiti Coup.”
The rally was co-chaired by Jean-Pierre and Kim Ives of the Haiti Support Network, along with Pat Chin and Sara Flounders from the Workers World Party.
In May 2004, Jean-Pierre joined a delegation to Haiti with two well-known Workers World Party comrades Steve Gillis and LeiLani Dowell.
Around the same time, Jean-Pierre worked for China-friendly New York City Council member James Sanders. Her duties as part of his reelection campaign included working with the local branch of the much discredited “community organizing” group ACORN.

Communist-Affiliated Husband

Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff works for the law firm DLA Piper, which “boasts nearly 30 years of experience in China and over 140 lawyers dedicated to its ‘China Investment Services’ branch,” according to the National Pulse.
Writes the National Pulse:
“To facilitate DLA Piper’s China practice—which has received countless prestigious awards from the China Business Law Journal and China Law and Practice—the company employs a host of former Chinese Communist Party officials.
“Ernest Yang, who serves as the firm’s Head of Litigation & Regulatory department and Co-Head of International Arbitration, was appointed to the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in 2013. The CPPCC serves as the top advisory board for the Chinese Communist Party, and Yang was promoted to the body’s Standing Committee in 2019.
“Jessica Zhao, a Senior Advisor, served as the Deputy Secretary General of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), a government-owned body established by the Chinese Communist Party in 1956. It was developed under the auspices of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, ‘a governmental body for the furtherance of Chinese trade promotion.’”
Several other high-level DLA Piper employees, both Chinese and American nationals, have served the Chinese regime in some capacity or another.

This report is from 2020 but is just more proof. She is a threat to your democracy for those that "claim" to care about such things.

NonDawg Thoughts on DTV getting deal done?

If yall were betting men (which I’m sure none of yall are…😂) what are your thoughts that DTV gets a deal done with ESPN/Disney by this weekend for college football??? 0-25%, 25-50%, 50-75%, 75-100%?

Also, spare me the “I need to switch to this cable/streaming platform.” I’m going to keep DTV Stream because I want to have the Hawks and Braves. I think Fubo and Sling aren’t as high quality and we all know YTTV doesn’t have Bally, so I’m sticking with DTV and just hoping it’s sooner rather than later.

This is absolute gold.... Kamala and Vlad

From news reports of a Putin question at the Eastern Economic Forum:

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday appeared to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race against former President Donald Trump. According to multiple reports, Putin was questioned during the Eastern Economic Forum he attended in eastern Russia over how he viewed the upcoming U.S. election.

The Russian president, apparently smiling alongside the event’s moderator, said ultimately it was up to the American people to decide but said that as President Biden has backed Harris, "we will do the same, we will support her."

"She laughs so expressively and infectiously that it means that everything is fine with her," he added.

Two more UGA MBB previews, plus assorted dawg bones

CBB Review

“Against all odds, Georgia managed a 20-win season last year. There were highs, such as a 10-game winning streak spanning between late November to early January, starting the SEC slate 4-2, and coming back from double-digits to beat Florida State on the road.

But there were also lows, like a six-game losing streak with four single-digit losses, starting 2-3 on the year, and failing to beat a single ranked opponent all season long. If a few more breaks had gone Georgia’s way, we could possibly have been talking about them as a tournament team.

In a way, we can talk about them as a tournament team, just not the NCAA tournament. The Bulldogs accepted an invitation to the NIT, where they defeated, in turn, Xavier, Wake Forest, and Ohio State. If Georgia basketball played like that the whole season, who knows where they would have ended up. But in reality, they ended up in the NIT semifinals before losing to Seton Hall. All things considered, not a bad season.

This year, expectations are higher. 5-star freshman Asa Newell joins the program and is expected to start. Even with notable departures in the backcourt with Noah Thomasson and Jabri Abdur-Rahim gone, the cupboard is by no means bare. Silas Demary Jr. returns to run point after a solid debut season. Mike White dipped into the portal to grab projected starting shooting guard Tyrin Lawrence from Vanderbilt and the entire Mount St. Mary’ starting backcourt from last year (De’Shayne Montgomery and Dakota Leffew). Blue Cain also returns to the back, part of a talented freshman duo with Demary Jr., and freshman Savo Drezgić will provide depth.

In the frontcourt, all is well despite the loss of Russel Tchewa. Asa Newell, the aforementioned 5-star, will likely be the Bulldogs’ starting power forward when the season tips off, while Appalachian State transfer Justin Abson will likely start at center. Abson is a premier paint protector and one of the best defenders in the nation. Freshman Somto Cyril will also see plenty of time down low as a very talented prospect, with Clemson transfer RJ Godfrey, and returning sophomore Dylan James all providing much-needed depth to the rotation. All in all, there is hope for this Georgia Bulldog team, and Mike White’s foundation is beginning to show. If Georgia can start to take down ranked opponents this season, (they will have the opportunity to do so) they can take the next step.

247Sports Composite #208 ranked recruit

Georgia Basketball Team MVP: Silas Demary Jr.

Demary Jr. came in as a touted freshman and earned that title quickly. Starting in 36 of the team’s 37 games, Demary Jr. provided a steadying force to the Bulldog defense, leading the team in defensive box plus/minus, defensive win shares, and placing 2nd behind RJ Melendez in steal percentage. Even as a freshman in the SEC, Demary Jr. showed the ability to defend against veteran players on the perimeter, making the most of his opportunities and helping glue the team’s outside defense together.

Offensively, Demary Jr. had the 2nd-highest assist percentage on the team last season, behind just Justin Hill. Even on a team where the backcourt was veteran-laden, Demary Jr. held his own and did exactly what Mike White needed him to do. As one of the focal points in the offense, Demary Jr. was able to place 3rd on Georgia in points produced, accounting for 368 points last year. This year, the team will need him to take full control of the offense. It’s certainly a title he can handle.

Georgia Basketball make-or-break player: Asa Newell

Newell, the highest-rated recruit in Mike White’s 2024 class, joins the team out of Montverde Academy. While there, he was highly productive as a lefty athletic big. Newell fits right into the modern big man mold, with the ability to shoot and score as well as defend to a high degree. Exceptionally good in transition and physical on offense when driving, his game works well with Mike White’s scheme, as Georgia averaged more than 70 possessions a game on offense last year.

Newell should immediately slide into the four-spot in the starting rotation, and though there will be other options for the lineup if Newell isn’t ready (Abson at PF, Cyril at C, or Godfrey at PF, Abson at C) it is needed for this team to have a college-ready Asa Newell, as was advertised. I don’t have any doubt in that, as his game and talent should translate well, but there’s no denying that Georgia basketball is depending on this freshman to step up and create.

Key analytic: Opponent blocks per game

Despite shooting just 35.5 two-point attempts per game, good for 237th in D-1, Georgia still got their shots blocked often, with an average of 4.4 shots sent back per game. Only 26 teams were worse at not getting rejected. That could be a result of a high volume of inside shots from guards, big men not getting in proper position inside, or a litany of other reasons. A film study would be needed to find out, but regardless, the Bulldogs are leaving points on the board.

The SEC is a physical basketball conference, and each team needs to be physically ready for a grueling conference slate every year. That is in no way insinuating that Georgia is not physically capable of competing for a top spot in the conference this year. After all, they just grabbed Justin Abson from the portal, one of the best athletes available, and signed Asa Newell and Somto Cyril from the freshman class. Georgia is plenty physical, they just need to get to the basket strong and show it.

“11. Georgia A group with some really fun young talent, especially in their front court, a top freshman duo in the nation, in Asa Newell and Somto Cyril, as well as a super deep back court with MSM transfer Dakota Leffew and Savo Drezgic who recently led Serbia to second place in the FIBA U18s. Overall super young team but a team that within a few years can become a really strong into G: Dakota Leffew G: Blue CainF: Tyrin Lawrence F: Asa NewellC: Somto Cyril G: Savo Drezgic G: Silas DemaryC: Justin AbsonPotential prospects Savo Drezgic Asa Newell Somto Cyril Justin AbsonSavo is one of the better pure points in this class, showing out in every evernneus been part of, including ANGT, EYBL and for DME HS last year. Notably put on a big performance for Serbia in U18s, leading them to the silver medal averaging 22-6-6 on 49/39/77 splitsAsa Newell was part of last years Montverde team that went undefeated, and sacrificed his output to a smaller role to help the team win. Super athletic F/C hybrid at 6’11 who’s really impressed whenever he’s gotten the chance to. Potential lotto guy with some fun offensive skills and even better defensive upsideSomto Cyril was a man amongst children at OTE, as an athletic phenom with amazing conditioning. Great vertical athlete and prototypical play-finisher / shot blocker. Still a bit raw but still clearly an NBA guy. Has a great opportunity to shine, sharing the front court with 2 great talents in Newell and Abson Justin Abson is the underrated guy in this bunch, as a 6’9 sophomore who shows some great flashes at App State averaging 7 and 7 with nearly 3 blocks a game while shooting 62% from the field. Super underrated and a guy who can genuinely break out within his role at UGA”
