NonDawg Dog food diets

We've had many posts of people losing dogs and seeking dogs recently and over the years (lost one in November, getting a puppy in February).

I figured it would be interesting to see what diets folks use for their dogs.

Interested in both good and bad experiences with kibble, raw, and home cooked meals.

My dog is on Hill's Science Adult Perfect Weight. She's been trying to drop pounds the last couple of years so we tried reducing portions of her previous food (Pro Plan Adult Large Breed) as well as the Hill's Senior Large Breed, but neither really dropped pounds with minimal portions for her desired weight.

However, the Perfect Weight did result in her losing 4 lbs at her most recent vet visit so I guess it works. I'm sure she gained it all back during the holidays after being spoiled by my wife and guests since she became the only dog.

Anyway, getting ready for a new pup and trying to map out a diet plan. Unlike the 3 males who had various skin allergies, my female hasn't shown any, just a more sensitive stomach than the males. So we're open to a variety of options.

A yearly basketball history lesson

Today is the 107-year anniversary of Georgia setting an NCAA record for margin of victory with a 122-2 win in a game against Southeastern Christian College.

As I do every year, here’s the link to the story me and a couple good friends did on that game for The Red & Black, which led to the NCAA updating its record book to include this game:

NonDawg Christmas lights still up?

I still see some people with Christmas lights up outside their homes, and they’re even lit. Is it still okay to keep them up? Is there an acceptable timeframe for having Christmas lights displayed and lit on your house? Personally, I’m the type of guy who takes them down the day after Christmas. What do you think?

NonDawg Brunswick Stew Recipe…in need of the real deal

Living in Alabama, I don’t get Brunswick stew as often. As we know, BBQ varies from state to State and even being 30 minutes from the Ga line, there is only one place that serves it and it’s in Jacksonville, AL.

My dad made the best, but he passed when I was a teenager before he could give me his recipe. I’m not going to trust instagram and facebook recipes filled with clickbait and feel i need it from a true Georgian lol.

My wife said “Might as well ask the Vent because you already think everything is better when it’s from Georgia anyway.”

Anyway, hit me with what you got if you feel like sharing.
