Herschel’s Son With Good Advice for Pops

So Herschel didn’t have the babies aborted.

Why are secret sons an issue? Isn’t that culturally acceptable? I thought marriage was just one of those Christian rituals we had moved from.

If he had pushed for abortion would he be supported by the liberal left? How dare him!

So what is the problem in this?
I think it is an issue because he talks about how important it is to be a good father. I have absolutely no way of knowing his relationship with all these kids but by them being a secret it makes one question. I am not saying it should be an issue but on the surface it seems hypocritical. That and his ability to stretch/forget the truth are why it is an issue.

If it comes out that he’s had several abortions, would he still be supported by the right?
George Floyd was a convicted felon who had a history of abuse towards women and family and we have erected a statue in his honor. So I am trying to understand your logic.

Liberals seem to ignore the proximate cause of an issues and only seem to promote the result. At some point, things happen to people because of decisions they make.

I tried to respond to you the way you respond, deflection.

Now, my opinion. My decision to support and/or vote for a candidate is based on the public good, as I see it. With that, most elections offer us two choices. In standing in the voting booth, I can’t imagine someone voting right or left. Surely we vote for the greater good, as we see it.

Politicians are not our saviors. Politicians should never be given the keys to the store.

So to respond to your question…. Directly

I wIll vote for Herschel. I will not vote for Raphael.

I will vote for a professed conservative who promotes family values and speaks against the killing of human life.

I am not asking for a statue of him, just asking that he supports governmental ideals that align with my beliefs.

I cannot vote for a socialist, period. I cannot vote for a man who claims to be a Christian pastor, yet, bastardized God’s Word to get elected as a politician. I cannot vote for anyone who promotes murder.

My opinion.

Hope this helps. The perfect people we can vote on are extremely limited.

I see where it’s about to be 103 degrees all next week in some parts of GA. And it’s only June. These extremely high temps in the summer and tornadoes in the winter are about to be the norm for us unless we can find a better source energy to power our vehicles.
Someone doesn’t understand climate cycles. My coffee was unusually hot this morning though, guess it is the climate change.

Do you know why Venus is hotter than Mercury? Hint: Not a climate cycle. And it wasn't always hotter than Mercury.
Diesel trucks I’m guessing

Seems like as long as we don’t have major volcanism, we good. A planet is going to do what a planet is going to do. See Venus for example.

People also used to know that the sun went around the Earth. Heck, they could see it.
And it was flat. Some folks still believe that one. Wonder what Venusians believe? Whatever they believe, they better get those carbon emissions under control. Do you think we could send Al and Greta up there to give them a stern talking to?

Wouldn't it be nice if both sides could call out their own hypocrites. Otherwise, we just gonna keep having hypocrites representin'.
You do understand, I can scream from the mountaintops... that the world would be a better place if there was no sex until wedlock. And completely believe it. Profess it.

And then an hour later have sex out of wedlock, and still believe my original statement.

Hey, I’m not THAT stupid. I too wonder what the Venusians or the Martians think.

What, wait…… sure the earth is flat.

It is called weather. We have been listening about all the scares about global warming for 50 years. The latest scare is the world will end in 8 or 10 years because of global warming. None of the warmist claims have ever come true. They predicted NY and Miami would both be under water by now.
Even your climate czar said recently that if the USA reduced carbon emissions to zero, it would ;have negligible effect on global warming. And going to zero emissions is impossible.
Also where do the batteries for electric cars get the electricity? coal or natural gas. We do not have the power grid to handle electric cars enmasse right now. Nor enough charging stations either.
So why the hurry?
Wasn't parts of Fl under water, so it's a cycle.

I actually can understand this feeling. I felt the same way when Trump was on the ticket. Shows that people are going to vote for who they want regardless of their candidate’s shortcomings.
What shortcomings did I overlook when I voted for Trump, In what affects you and me? In what affects the American family daily. In what affects our country in regards to international safety. In what affects a citizens ability to work, own possessions, save for the future and have a great career, what were his shortcoming that I overlooked?

I am all ears. I just want to make sure. I just got the car gassed up, paid about $6.00 for a jar of peanut butter that was around $4.00 two years ago and decided not to eat at Longhorns tonight because they were only sitting 5 tables because they were short in the kitchen and had only two servers on duty. After seeing the DOW go down like 700 points today and after the fill up, we were going to celebrate the strong economy.

So what we’re his shortcomings?

You’re comparing coffee to the climate. I see who doesn’t understand climate change. Lol 😂

I do not understand climate change. Please explain.
I am thankful we have an expert on call to advise us, to educate us.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to educate me on this important issue.

I need reassurance. I filled up my tank today using South America, and, I assume, Saudi gas. I also assume that THIS gas protects our climate better than the domestic stuff or what would be the point, right?

I look forward to your explanation so I can back away from the ledge.

Ole pops with 3 secret kids now…

We put a statue up for George Floyd. Reckon he has any children out there and wasn’t there being a father. Just curious, or do you not care?

Are you just selectively a supremest or is it a full time job for you? If it fits your agenda it seems to be OK.

This kind of stuff affects you, me and your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Every bit of this kind of stuff was all there in plain view as he marched to the White House.

I just want you to understand something:

A guy claimed the election was stolen with no proof.

His own people told him it wasn't stolen.

He is the POTUS.

He sat and watched people bloody the police, break windows and damage the Capitol.

He did nothing while watching this.

He did nothing while people, Republicans, were by his side begging him to. (Understand that this is the key here. It doesn't matter that he did once say "peace and love" or something like that, that so many people on here say clears him.)

When he told the people to go home, he said he loved them, they were special, and that it was a day to remember (unless you're dumb as a box of rocks, you know he's not meaning a day of infamy here).

He called his VP a P**** and wimp, because his VP, on the advice of his lawyers, told him it was illegal to reverse the vote and he would not do it.

During the riots, with his supporters saying "Hang Pence", he said "Maybe they are right. He deserves it."

Understand that as of today, this guy can still run and be elected to the office again.

Now does that sound like a first world democracy to you, or Nicaragua?

It has come to that point. You have to vote red. There is no choice. Warnock voted 95 percent along the lines with Biden. And the country is screwed. I don’t care if he has 12 personalities. 18 illegitimate kids. You have to take a chance that he would be better. Because it can’t be worse. Still an easy choice. Really easy

The country has been going down hill since 45 took office. Now we have a bunch of MAGA nuts running around screaming “Let’s Go Brandon” like some 3rd graders. Domestic terrorism from white supremacy groups has increased immensely. He had his minions storm the Capitol and beat the dog crap out of the Capitol Police. He also called on Russia to meddle in our democracy. It can’t get much worse than that…

I asked a question that neither you or Cocco answered.

You gave me a series of liberal talking points.

I assume you sit in disgust that not a single Dem lawmaker has urged their voters to stop shooting police, stop destroying cities and stop threatening Supreme Court justices. Not only have they not urged them to stop, they have encouraged escalating discord.

Donald Trump never encouraged any group to invade the capital.

No group walks in the capital building. It is impossible. For anyone to believe it happened like it did is an idiot, a political ideologist and feels more secure that Arogon is now the King of Gondor.

The forensic studies in the 2020 election are damning. How the elections were run are damning.

When a Dem politician stands up and says stop killing police officers, I will applaud. But they won’t.

A group went in the capital. Police officers are being executed in the streets every day. When you start worrying about that, let me know.

A third world dictator destroys his country to control it. Where’s the gas kckd? Third world country. You have elite power strangling it’s own citizens.

Now, answer my questions or just keep throwing political mantra at me. I feel like I ingested a stupid pill reading coco’s canned responses.

Can a liberal answer a question directly?

You gave me a series of liberal talking points.

Liberal talking point would be about the difference policies each party has. The POTUS attempting a coup or overturning a legal election is not a liberal talking point.

I assume you sit in disgust that not a single Dem lawmaker has urged their voters to stop shooting police, stop destroying cities and stop threatening Supreme Court justices. Not only have they not urged them to stop, they have encouraged escalating discord.

I'm not in favor of violence at all. Schumer saying something one time in immediate response to a possible SC decision is not the same as months of telling people an outright lie that leads to an attack on the Capitol and sitting and doing nothing about it. You are comparing people upset about issues to people being upset about things that didn't even happen. I have yet to see any politician call for cops to be killed. If they have, they should be removed from office, but that's for their state and district to handle. The POTUS is every American's responsibility. Justifying bad behavior by saying others behave badly is a big loss for everyone. We should expect the POTUS to be better than the average congressman or congresswoman. I mean, would hope you don't think MTG or Maxine Waters are POTUS material.

Donald Trump never encouraged any group to invade the capital.

If you are gonna say some politicians encouraged the summer riots but say Trump had nothing to do with Jan. 6th, you're FOS here. He told them to march to the Capitol and stop what was happening from happening. He told them to take back the country.
That doesn't happen holding hands and chanting Kumbaya.

No group walks in the capital building. It is impossible. For anyone to believe it happened like it did is an idiot, a political ideologist and feels more secure that Arogon is now the King of Gondor.

There are videos of police bloodied. There are videos of people breaking windows and going into the Capitol. There are videos of the very same people on social media who posted coup/revolution stuff just days before, entering the Capitol. If you can't admit this, we're tying to decide what breed a dog is. The problem is, you think the dog is a lion. No real way to have a discussion.

The forensic studies in the 2020 election are damning. How the elections were run are damning. The forensic studies by whom? This is a baseless statement with nothing to back it up. We have laws to protect us if this happens. You take it to the courts and they decide. If the judges, Republicans, FBI and CIA (under Trump) are in on it, you probably should have had your butt up on Capitol on Jan. 6th breaking windows and hitting the police. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you think should happen. Win the upcoming elections run by the same people?

When a Dem politician stands up and says stop killing police officers, I will applaud. But they won’t.
This is a nothing burger, as your TV personalities like to say. I haven't seen the majority of Republicans come forward and say stop killing police. Why? This doesn't need to be said. No one is for killing police. To say someone is for something because they don't say they are against it is silly. Especially when any one with common sense knows that it's wrong.
A group went in the capital. Police officers are being executed in the streets every day. When you start worrying about that, let me know.
I do worry about that. But policing is a dangerous job. It's part of what you sign up for. They need more backing for sure and things are changing there.
But you're comparing things that happen in cities across the country with lesser or greater degree all the time with an actual attempted coup.
Police were killed before Trump or Biden were POTUS. Before Obama, Before W. and on back.

A third world dictator destroys his country to control it. Where’s the gas kckd? Third world country. You have elite power strangling it’s own citizens.

If you don't think we're on the verge of losing our Democracy when a POTUS refuses to accept the law by which it stands, you're lost. Do you think Trump was cheated out of Iowa by Cruz? He already did this before.

Now, answer my questions or just keep throwing political mantra at me. I feel like I ingested a stupid pill reading coco’s canned responses.

Can a liberal answer a question directly? I'm not a liberal. That's another big problem you have. You think everything is "us" or "them". "Good" "bad". This isn't football.

I don’t believe I called you a liberal. Did someone call you a liberal?

I asked another poster direct questions. You felt compelled to speak for him. So your “they”, “them” comment is quite funny.

All I did was ask questions and wanted to know his opinion on those questions.

My mistake was responding to you, who didn’t answer the questions asked, but just went into ideological attack.

When people cannot answer and discuss basic simple questions that affect basic human life, the question begs why.

Paying $6.00 a gallon gas today because Trump was bad is not an answer nor a discussion for that topic.

Or we can keep talking about how bad Trump is and rationalizing our current lot in life.

The US has always paid low gas prices compared to all the other developed countries. Right now you're about where all the others were before. You guys are in your own little world. Been paying 5 bucks a gallon for years. Went to Europe a few years back, same thing. Australia, NZ, much higher than the US. Somehow those folks are making it.

Gasoline has always one of the weirdest things to me. Americans are almost as obsessed with it as guns. I know people that wouldn't think twice about paying 1.50 more for a pound of ground beef if they were already in a store, rather than to go to some other place out of the way that they knew was the cheapest. Same people would literally drive a couple miles out of their way to purchase gas that was a nickel cheaper per gallon to fill up a 12 gallon tank. As a kid I've always been obsessed with math and I remember adding it up in my head and realizing it made no logical sense.

Your complaints about Biden are your beliefs really that the Democrats are evil, or what have you. You also think all of this is on the POTUS. People blame POTUS for a lot of stuff that they really don't have that much control of. I don't think Biden has done a great job. I wish we would have age limits on POTUS. Given what we know about Alzheimers and other forms of dementia with aging, we are playing Russian Roulette (shout out to Herschel) when we elect Presidents the age of Trump and Biden. We don't hire people like that to run our companies anew. We should not for POTUS.

My complaints about Trump have nothing to do with his politics for the most part. You can't get past that.

I wonder will you wake up when it is your family that is suffering ... and that is coming idiots. It's too late to stop it now. Food shortages are around the corner.
All because of Joe Biden's moronic policies and democRATs in congress.

1) Yes, why?
2) No, why?
3) No, because I am attempting to destroy the tobacco industry and move us from tobacco dependence

If you were President, and could lower the cost of prescription drugs, would you lower them?

1) Yes, why?
2) No, why?

When violence happens in our country, who should be the most vocal in stopping it?

2) The media
3) The local and state representatives of the area in which the violence occurred

What is the best way to end racial violence

2) Our leaders calling out aggression and using the system in place to move social norms?

Is our Constitution racist and unfair, or has the misuse of the Constitution by man, been racist and unfair.

4) It's a hypothetical question that is assuming an answer will prove your point elsewhere or the person who made it actually believes the POTUS has the cure to cancer and is holding it back from everyone. In this day and age, I wouldn't assume the asker doesn't believe such stuff.

If you were President, and could lower the cost of prescription drugs, would you lower them?

1) Yes, why?
2) No, why?
3) Once again, this doesn't seem to be a legit question, but rather a way to use the answer to make another point. Why not just ask what you really want to know?

When violence happens in our country, who should be the most vocal in stopping it?

1) The President
2) The media
3) The local and state representatives of the area in which the violence occurred
4) There are 350 million plus in our country. Violence happens all the time. Every second of every hour. Measuring degrees of who is most vocal and what is appropriate "vocalness" would be very subjective task. Better wording here would help.

What is the best way to end racial violence

1) Activist aggression, threats and violence
2) Our leaders calling out aggression and using the system in place to move social norms?
3) A very complicated question that would need more than just simple answers. I've said on here that you all see the world as a very A and B answer place. It's not that easy. For the record, I'm not in favor of violent protests. However, we've got quite a few on here who think the two rednecks that tried to make a citizen's arrest and shot and killed Arbery were perfectly within their rights to do so. Scary.

In 1968, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas chose a segregationist over Nixon or Humphrey as POTUS. The people who voted in that one that are still alive are your mothers and fathers or grandmothers and grandfathers. The idea that their views haven't been passed down or had no effect on those they raised is lunacy. I'm not saying our moms and dads and grandparents are horrible people. It would be a miracle if they were not racist based on the environment they grew up in. Just saying that thinking doesn't die because the feds made us all integrate.

The orange counties are George Wallace counties. The darker the orange, the more heavily they voted for him. Pinkish ones are Nixon. Blue is Humphrey.

800px-Georgia_Presidential_Election_Results_1968.svg.png

I graduated in the early nineties. My public high school still had a segregated prom and homecoming court. The idea that two decades removed from the Civil Rights movement everything was great was a myth. The idea that two decades removed from segregation still in the schools to some degree and everything is fine, is also a myth.
Should our leaders call for a stop to violence? Yes.
Using the system in place to move social norms? Yes, but it's a slow one. And if that movement is a snake, the South is always the tail, obviously. Listening to Southern non African Americans on how to fix racism has not been the best idea.

Is our Constitution racist and unfair, or has the misuse of the Constitution by man, been racist and unfair.

The Constitution means different things to different people these days.
To some, the first amendment is crap unless it's their view of what it is. We find that on both sides.

Constitution works for me, but it hasn't for some people. I mean I'm not sure how you argue against that. Doesn't mean it should be done away with. But I can understand why an African American may not think it protects him/her very much. The people who wrote it were all white and slave owners in many cases. So you might be able to see why some people of color aren't crazy about that.

What would be great if the same people who say it's crazy to expect the Founders or Abe Lincoln to think like an American who has grown up his whole life in an integrated society, would by the same token admit that growing up in a society only a few decades removed from segregation, Jim Crow, etc. might affect them the same way those societies affected Washington, Jefferson and Abe.
Speaking as Christian, the Bible is rife with social sin, but it rarely is addressed in today's society where we only consider it on an individual basis.

If your child is drowning in a pool, do you

1) Save your child and teach the child using that experience as a basis
2) Allow your child to drown to prove the unsafe characteristics of a pool and attack the pool company in the media

Once again, just ask your question. I feel like I'm talking to a poor man's Ben Shapiro.

If you were freezing to death in the mountains with no help in sight, would you build a fire to keep warm?

1) Yes, to stay alive
2) No, it kills the climate

Once again, a silly question. Just ask what you really are getting at.

Just curious.

You’re spreading propaganda and not being honest. Police are not being executed in the streets everyday. That’s 100% false. What world are you living in? And then to suggest that it’s all the work of democratic voters and it’s a democratic agenda like Republicans don’t shoot at police officers or attack them…definitely saw it on Jan 6, 2021

When will republicans speak out against the unnecessary killings of black citizens? You would’ve thought with a 9 minute video of George Floyd being murdered that you guys would have been as equally upset as the people that witness that murder. But nope…the Republicans were looking for any sliver of evidence to find fault with Floyd. When will Repubs speak out about that? They never will. That’s not going to get their constituents in the south to vote for them and they know it.

Trump told his minions to go to the Capitol and fight like hell over a lie that he has perpetuated. And people were dumb enough to fall for it. But hey, that’s why he likes dumb ass people. Tell them a few gullible lies and give them some people to look down upon and you can get them to destroy America and empty their pockets to the tune of $250 million dollars.

Your struggle is that you were raised a certain way and you can’t see it any other way than how you were brought up. So I understand that and know that you can’t help seeing things the way you see them. For example, to actually insinuate that I’m stupid, but then turn around and still proclaim that there was election fraud all because Trump decided to spread that lie is laughable. How low of an IQ must someone have to be so gullible to continue to believe in the Big Lie. Once Republicans start standing up and speaking out against white supremacy terrorism like they do against BLM then they will get a standing ovation from me. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

PS. And to think that White Supremacy terror has been around for centuries, BLM is a few years old, but now all of a sudden you want to get up and speak out against BLM like they are a hate group. Where have you been all of these years leading up to the creation of BLM?
There has never been a time in the South when a majority of whites actually thought Blacks should be protesting. Never. That's absolute fact. True in the early twentieth century. True in the sixties. True in the nineties. True today. Yet Southern whites can't understand why African Americans don't really care to hear their views on race.
