It already is up to the states and residents how to run their schools. DOE simply provides rules for academic achievement and student treatment and distributes the federal funds to the states. If schools are failing it is largely a local problem, not a federal problem.

You realize that the DOE functions were present before the DOE's existence, right? Carter just brought all of this under one roof with the formation of the DOE to improve coordination and efficiency. It is not like if the DOE is abolished that there will be no federal rules regarding academic achievement and student treatment. It will simply just go back to being split between other federal departments.

Do you think the destruction of J6 docs might be a crime that would warrant an investigation? Do you think Kassidy Hutchinson's differing versions of the limo story and the conflicting testimony by those closer to the scene would be out of bounds for the AG to investigate. Is it hunky dory now for military officials to tell adversaries they have no intention of following a lawful order from the POTUS? Is it now out of bounds for LE to investigate the circumstances surrounding the illegal funding of GOF research, a tyrant to make up protocols he knows aren't effective and mandate compliance with no recourse.

Hint: As a person that was once a certified PPE trainer, I would be criminally liable if I lied to one of my employees about the efficacy of a piece of equipment and sent him into a situation thinking he was protected but enjoyed no degree of protection.
