Really not sure what to make of Fetterman

Fetterman can read the room. He's the lone democrat senator in a state that voted for Trump. His "run to the center" is an act. Plus he's a fat slob with tattoos.
I don't doubt that running to the center strategically is part of it. But I will say he is generally more center and unafraid to buck the party-line because he seems less concerned with his seat as a launching pad to something bigger within the Party. I agree that he will most likely vote with his party, but he could be Manchin-lite. More conservative leaning State with large energy concerns.

On the issue of student loans, Biden is more Christian than 99% of the Republicans.

My thoughts on Christianity or Christian governance aside, you’d have to provide some sort of objective evidence that the interest rates are unreasonably high to support your claim they are usurious. The entire argument hinges on that.
Sure it’s a non dischargable debt at roughly 4.5 % interest rate loaned to an 18 year old kid with no assets or means to pay it back. 18 year olds are poor, charging interest to the poor is usury, as is profiting off loaning money to the poor.

This system is made exponentially worse by the lender, running the lower education system which creates borrowers for the lender by teaching them to go to college and borrow money from the lender, and

The lender is also for lack of a better word, the lien holder on the higher education institutions. The same lender for the 18 year old is giving money it prints to the institution, so the institution can freely raise the cost of education without worrying about a lack of supply (applicants) because their tuition is backed by an infinite money printing machine and because their lender is creating an increasing supply applicants through the lower education system.

There is no risk to the lender, or the university. The student bears 100% of the risk all while the lender has been pursuing policies for the last 40 years which reduces the reward.

Hallelujah! TikTok has been banned. Finally! One of the only bipartisan issues of the last 10 years.

Of course though... one of Trump's big donors is a ByteDance shareholder now, so after posting for years about how bad TikTok is and how it needs to be banned... now Trump has "evolved" on the issue and will fight to save it.

Look - Kamala is an incompetent mess and a DEI hire.

But please understand that Trump is looking out for himself. Hard.

Let's see if this one donor can sway Trump. I hope not.

Remember - TikTok is not a social media app - it's a propaganda tool created by the communist Chinese. And they don't deny it. Wall Street Journal has run several series on the app.
Trump has been supportive of keeping Tik Tok for a long time.

Gym Dawgs got season home opener tonight....

I know some folks on here are one trick pony mindset (FOOTBALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!) but I've always appreciated the (historical) success of many of our other programs like gymnastics. It's fallen on hard times the last decade or so unfortunately, but hopefully with the new coaching staff and roster we get things rolling tonight. Simone Biles gonna be in the house so that'll be a great treat for all the folks in the building. Big 18-24 hours in Stegman with the #1 Barn coming in Saturday at 1pm!
