Not really. Things cost more, people make more. What doesn't change is the fact that people are responsible for their actions and their decisions. Students decide how they apply themselves. Students decide what their field of study is going to be. Students had good GPAs and Bad GPAs, Students have extracurricular activities and Some Don't. Some have Internships and some Don't. All of these things are factors in what kind of job someone gets when they get out of school. Same then as it is now.

It's not supposed to level the playing field, it's part of the Civil Rights Act and is supposed to ensure no discrimination takes place.

It has gotten WAYYYYYY out of hand and needs to be restricted. Example - no one watches women's sports. Therefore they don't have money. If you let their sports programs wither on the vine, or don't create them to start with, that's illegal. Literally. It's the genesis behind private donations. UGA cannot fail to fund women's stuff, but private donors can donate to whatever they want, and that always football, MBB, and a little baseball. No other sports really move the needle, with rare exception.

Of course though... one of Trump's big donors is a ByteDance shareholder now, so after posting for years about how bad TikTok is and how it needs to be banned... now Trump has "evolved" on the issue and will fight to save it.

Look - Kamala is an incompetent mess and a DEI hire.

But please understand that Trump is looking out for himself. Hard.

Let's see if this one donor can sway Trump. I hope not.

Remember - TikTok is not a social media app - it's a propaganda tool created by the communist Chinese. And they don't deny it. Wall Street Journal has run several series on the app.

I incurred the debt and it was my responsibility to pay it off, not pass it on to someone that did not ask for the debt nor own it. Responsibility is what so many of our society do not understand. On society telling kids they should go to college, that's a different conversation that we likely agree on. I don't think everyone should go to college, and it's not necessary for success. However, if you do go to college and take out loans you are responsible for paying them back. It's the same concept of buying a house. Owning your own home is also part of the American dream, but you don't hear lenders saying they should forgive home loan repayments. Tighter underwriting standards for student debt would go a long way, but like anything, you have to be accountable for your actions.
