So this plane is scrap? But Trump wants it for AF1? Dude, I don't stay away from here because of what anyone says. It's because of the idiocy. I'm sorry, but you talking about this as scrap at the same time as Trump considers it for AF1 is just proving the point I made regarding your previous valuation. It's just bullsh!t. I have nothing against you, and frankly, I have always thought of you as a good and fair moderator on the vent. But I can't have a discussion on this level. The pretzel-logic is just silly. It isn't the folks that question Trump that have TDS, it's the folks who validate anything and everything Trump says and does as right and true that have TDS. Not wasting more time on this. See you on the Vent, my man. Go Dawgs!!FWIW, as a follow-up after doing a little digging, a 747-8 is worth $50,000 to $200,000 in scrap, depending on their condition. I'll assume the high estimate here.
Engines and other parts could be worth more, depending on their condition and status of their last maintenance major actions. However, due to the Qataris effectively 'retiring' this aircraft, I have doubts as to whether it underwent a significant maintenance overhaul just prior to it leaving their fleet, which could greatly affect their worth.
